It was fun to be around magic in Velgarth. The only Velgarth books that I have read are the Arrows series and magic plays only a small role and a negative one in them. It was also a lot of fun to see the Heralds from the outside. Really outside seeing as Tarma and Kethry had no previous knowledge of the Heralds. The variety of perspectives was refreshing. I would like to see more novels from non-Herald points of view. Maybe a novel with a Healer as the main character. Or possibly even a priest. One of my favorite secondary characters in Oathbound was the priest of Anathei who helped them against the demon. It was interesting to see the scene through his eyes, and you also get the impression that he was a man of great depth and courage however unsuspected. More thoughts at a late date.
