I've been looking for the addy for it for awhile thanks! Long time member of MLML delurking here You know I finally had to throw away my copy of Queen's Own... a book that had all three in one... hardback... and with as many times as I read it it fell into four different parts... no binding anymore... and finally the pages are so worn that I can't read it anymore... does anyone know where I can get another book like that? Where all three Queen's Arrow's books are in one hardback version? I haven't been able to find one... Does anyone think that the Valdemar books would make a great movie series? or tv show? I do... I wish there was someone bold enough to put it on... What character does everyone "relate to" best??? Mine would be Tallia. >From the desk of Captain Freedom Justice Walker of the FireSisters > Try the official fan club, Queen's Own. > Here's a website: > http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~ism/lackey/ > > I'm in SCA! Try Yahoo auctions http://auctions.yahoo.com/, or Ebay http://pages.ebay.com/buy/index.html and you should be able to find one. Whether you can afford it or not is questionable, because the bookclub version of Queen's Own is pretty rare, and good quality ones go for lots. However, if you just want a reading copy, go here http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exchange-glance/Y01X1702695X1799550/qid= 948953858/sr=1-5/103-9847483-5383860 I say just a reading copy because it has a small rip on the cover, and no one wants it for a collection like that......... > Does anyone think that the Valdemar books would make a > great movie series? or tv show? I've often daydreamed about what a good movie AotQ would make, and have even wanted to try my hand at writing the screenplay. But from what I hear, ML is psycho about copyright infringement, and I'm pretty sure if I wrote and asked if I could, she'd say "Hell no!" Besides, no one in Hollywood seems to think fantasy (besides Star Wars) will sell! They obviously dont have any good sense. Oh well, I can still dream!................. ;) Jenny ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hard work pays off tomorrow, but laziness pays off now! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 00:51:34 -0600 From: Amy Trujillo To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: SCA? I've seen it in some second hand shops and on Ebay but its getting pretty pricey last time I looke it was over $20. The same goes for LHM I saw a copy on Ebay that went for $200 although that may have been a hoax. They do still have Vows and Honors in one volume. I've seen that particular book on ebay before and even if it's not there right now, it could show up again (don't know why anyone would part with ML though). Sounds like a book club edition that you had there. Does anyone think that the Valdemar books would make a great movie series? or tv show? I do... I wish there was someone bold enough to put it on... >> Not a live action movie, possibly an animated though. If they made a live action, it would end up being too cheesy and I would hate it.
