The most that mare had of > Shin'a'in blood would be on the level of cull, if > that. hi, i've never actually written on this list but i just had to comment on this one. i believe the mare in question belongs to 'Lendels twin, Staven. the "shin'a'in warhorse" that vanyel deflated was actually a stalion. Which does make me wonder just how many "shin'a'in" horses were running through the horse faires at the time.just a thought. featherdancer :-) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I have a survey which I need two people to fill out. One person should be in their early teens and the other needs to be adult, in there 40 or so. I was wondering if there was anyone who was comfortable on any of these three lists which would fill them out for me. I will tell the questions now so you can decide. Or actually here it is. Age: Gender: Parents together or not: Where do you live (rural area or city): Sibling What kind of school (public, private, co-ed, single sex): Religon: Those are just the backround. If you don't feel comfortable telling me something don't worry, you don't have too. The question themselves are about Role Models 1. What is a Role Model ? 2. What are characteristics and qualities of Role Models? 3. What function does having a role model serve you? 4. Who are your role models? 5. Are the people in your everyday life who you consider role models? 6. Do you consider yourself a role model? Well that is it. I hope no one minds too much about this being off topic, but I am sort of desparte here, my other interviewies sort of bailed on me. Thanks Sarah B "However confused the scene of our life appears, however torn we may be who now do face that scene, it can be faced, and we can go on to be whole." Pam Newbern Gender: Female Parents together or not: No, mother died 10 years ago. Parents were married for over 45 years. Where do you live (rural area or city): Augusta, GA (city) Sibling: One brother What kind of school (public, private, co-ed, single sex): I attended a public high school and public colleges, all co-ed. Religon: Christian, non-denominational. I was raised in a non-traditional Christian religion that emphasized faith healing, instead of the use of medicine. Because of my dislike of that, I no longer regularly attend any organized church, although I do respect others' religious views. Those are just the backround. If you don't feel comfortable telling me something don't worry, you don't have too. The question themselves are about Role Models 1. What is a Role Model ? A role model is someone who you look up to -- who you want to emulate and be like. 2. What are characteristics and qualities of Role Models? Could be anyone you admire. Not necessarily positive qualities -- some role models are non-conformists, or in trouble a lot. Generally, I'd say a role model's characteristics are a strong personality and someone who takes the time to talk with you and show some interest in you. 3. What function does having a role model serve you? For me, it's having someone to talk with who's already done some of the things I have wanted to do. He or she can guide you through some of the difficult issues, and help you with questions. 4. Who are your role models? I have several. I am in the U.S. Army, and have known two or three male officers whose honesty, integrity and general outlook on life is something I want to emulate. In the past, I didn't really have anyone, particularly in high school. 5. Are the people in your everyday life who you consider role models? I don't have everyday contact with most of my role models now. In the past, I have usually worked for them in the military. I still keep in touch with them on occasion. 6. Do you consider yourself a role model? Not particularly, although I have been at times. Being an older female in the Army, who was enlisted, I sometimes have helped younger soldiers who wanted to become officers, or have listened to some who have had problems with sexual harassment or other problems that females tend to encounter in this organization. ------------------------------ End of MERCEDES-LACKEY Digest 2212 **********************************
