Deleted the message couldn't remember much about it and then I got my hands on the last 2 storms books and whoever it was was right. Kethry's adept manisfestation outside Roald's (name?, Selenay's father anyway) hunting lodge sounded more like Sejanes' description to Karal of accessing the pool of power available to the Masters of a mage school, not something specific to an adept. Whats really bugging me is that theres no mention of nodes that I could find in the oaths books, am I wrong, is this a Mistyake? Swordsworn, were described as being really rare in the oaths books, lihaireden (thats definately hopelessly the wrong spelling) hadn't had a swordssworn for years when Tarma took her oaths. Then Urtho's tower in SBreaking theres loads of them and most of them don't seem to be veiled ones (leshya). I've really fallen for Karal, I think his better than Vanyel. Ducks fire from all sides. Think about it his so ordinarily extraordinary, its what he does for other people that makes him special. The channeling is important but in the end his just so cute. Misty does have several different schools/disciplines of magic in the different nations - consider the contrast between Sejanes' and Firesong's approach to magical philosophy(science vs. art etc). As for nodes, it seems only the Tayledras and Kaled'a'in use them - bear in mind that Vanyel and Savil only used node-magic because both of them were Tayledras-trained, the other Herald-Mages of their time didn't. Logically we can assume that the White Winds mages didn't use them either. Can anyone find textevd as to whether the Eastern Empire used nodes? A) The Clans at large didn't know about the Sworn at Kata'shin'a'in - perhaps just the Shaman, seeing as those Sworn were "Sworn to Knowledge". B) Liha'irden might have just had fewer Sworn than other Clans, and assumed they were typical of the Clans as a whole. C) A genuine Mistyake.
