It's started to get quiet around here again! : ) Well I just thought I'd
pass on this little snippet of information, since people have been asking
about this book recently.

Valdemar novel. This is the story of Lavan Chitward, known as Lavan
Firestarter after his heraldic gift become apparent. This is a longer book
than usual at 24 chapters, but this is not part of a trilogy - it is a stand
alone novel. And, it's an excellent read, I promise you. (Though I'm biased

Sounds interesting. Rapidly running out of things to read here (the last 2 
times I went to the library I returned half the books unread because I 
couldn't get into them).

Latest gripe: The hardcover version of "Traitors Sun" by MZB is different 
from the paperback. 2 of the best passages were either removed outright or 
edited.

lavan chitward?  chitward???   with a name like that,
firestarter is definitely an improvement :) 
stand-alone book is ok (soon, soon, soon -- must have
soon!)

re traitor's sun pbk: got the hc & haven't really
thought about the pbk.  how annoying ...

ob misty (yes, the mzb stuff is there for a reason):
does anyone else recall reading/hearing that mzb had
chosen misty as her successor for darkover stuff? 
here's hoping that misty could find the time for a
darkover book or two ... with all of the nifty
plotlines laid out in the past three books (didn't
like regis dying, but ...), kinda of a shame to close
the door here.  *snif*

stuff to read -- gaaah!  the problem that i run into
is that i'm fanatical about a handful of authors, and
they don't write that quickly.  been waiting nearly
2yrs for the next wheel of time, & now i have to wait
until november (but at least its on schedule, right?).
 don't think the tor people would be happy if i showed
up and tried to snag a set of galleys (probably under
lock & key).

heyla Listsibs!

I have a question for u all.

If you could be any charicture you want AND change
something they did that you really did'nt like, who
would it be? and why?

For me I'd have to say Elspeth from the mage winds
series cause she's not a leader type (like me) and she
is lucky enough to get a really great guy (Darkwind).
I really can't remember if there was something she did
that pissed me off but I'll think about it.
