It's an Australian, a older children's programme, I think, and they all have weird make-up and hair, but anyway, this guy came on the screen and I thought, he could be Tayledras! With his hair, braids and feathers he looks just like a Tayledras scout ~smile~ So in our hypothetical Valdemar movie [which I personally hope never gets made, not that there's much danger of it] I call him for Darkwind. Honestly, he's perfect for him, if they got the clothes right. My little bit of randomness for the day. I don't need an obmisty, do I? That was Misty related. Well, just in case, if anyone can tell me when we might see Owlknight in the UK, or when the 4th one will appear, and what it might be called, I'd be grateful. And welcome back Kalen, I remember you from a while back when I lurked even more than I do now, so I'm sure you don't know who I am, nevermind : ) Take care *~alysen~* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *. . . and then * ~ fighting to stay asleep ~ * wishing it would go on forever * ~ ~ * sure that once the dream was over * ~ it would never come back ~ * * ~ . . . you woke up. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 01 Apr 2000 19:22:23 -0700 From: Nicole To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Heyla! Message-ID: <38E6AEDF.11C047E6-+AT+-telusplanet.net> Heyla All! I just want to ask some advice on something so please bear with me here. When looking for Mercedes Lackey books whats the best (Canadian) bookstore to go to? I mean I JUST got my copy of "The Oathbound" through special-mail-order (it took six weeks to arrive!). After, might I add, reading the other two books in the trilogy! I'm sorry if you wasted your time listening to me complain but, please, if you know of any good bookstores for Mercedes Lackey books (In Canada) e-mail me. (Pretty please with a cherry on top?) ~Thanx! ~Nicole Fletcher (fletchn-+AT+-telusplanet.net) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 1 Apr 2000 19:59:33 -0800 (PST) From: Songjewel To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Bookstores Message-ID: <20000402035933.18538.qmail-+AT+-web1002.mail.yahoo.com> Heyla! You can find Misty's books at just about any store; Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Walden Books are some of the best places to find them, but you could also shop around in places like popular streets for used bookstares; I know lots of people say they've gotten their very first Misty book from a used bookstore. With these stores it isn't guaranteed you'll find them, but you have a chance of finding them cheaper. Of course, if you have to have your books in pristine condition, like me, you should try the commercial stores first. They do have those in Canada, don't they? I think they did when I went. It was supposidly like a "family" here remember? ************************************** First question... who holds the friendship ring now? if my records are correct it should be someone by the name of Erin (not sure of last name) a good choice if I do say so myself... just keeping track!?? :) hehehe and next if I could emplore the ever wonderning help and curiosity of the list... What is your favorate top five names of Misty charachters? (while I'm thinking of names anyway I was just curious) and what does everyone think of the name Halliah Bowman. v.s. Leah Bowman. and any suggestions on a middle name? I've been quite busy lately and haven't been online. I am pregnant, and am rushing plans to get married THIS May 6th... so it's been a heck of a month for me. >From the Desk of the currently on leave, Captain Freedom Justice Walker of the FireSisters __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It's a HUGE store, probibly much like your Barnes & Noble and you're more than likely to find Misty's material there. But jsut about everywhere carries her work -- Smithbooks, Coles, the second hand bookstores, and the independant stores as well. She *is* a major author, after all. :) **A slip of fog winds innocently through the Hall, pausing here, pausing there, and eventually condensing into a woman bearing a Bucket (tm) behind Auriel-* ~~~SPLOOSH!!~~ Welcome to the MLML! (Wow, I haven't done that in a long time...) Any questions that aren't answered in the newbiefest ( http://www.ling.udel.edu/hyde/pers/misty/newbiefest.html ) please feel free to ask myself of any other of the Councilors (see the sigs) for help. :) BTW -- I liked your intro. Lets see, I've always loved the names but never thought to rank them. 1. Dirk (I know it's not really exotic or anything, but he happens to share the name with a character by Clive Cussler, Dirk Pitt, who is one of my fav. male characters of all time (peach candy sheep to all who have read one of those books!) 2.Yfandes 3.Hyllarr (I just like the way it kinda rolls off the tongue) 4.Griffon 5.Savil Herald-Trainee Jordyn Ashgrove Proud Member of the Stand-Out-In-A-Thunderstorm-Just-Because Club ------------------------------ End of MERCEDES-LACKEY Digest 2256 **********************************
