Message-ID: <6e.1db013f.261cf944-+AT+-aol.com> Thanks Laura! I appreciate the effort. :) Onto an obMisty, how many of us would have stuck around as Rose did when she found out what was REALLY going on (i.e., that there were no children to be governess to)? I'm not so sure I would have stuck around. Then again, I've got so much family that I'm actually on good terms with underfoot, there's no way I'd be stuck in a situation like Rose's. She literally had no place to go, and no one to look to for help but herself. Thoughts? Message-ID: I am currently in a position very similar to Rose's. And if I had an offer like hers, wonderful clothes, a beautiful place to stay, and nice wages, I would be hard-pressed to say no. Besides there were enough materials there for her to complete a whole new thesis. And the work was something she enjoyed doing. I would give a really important appendage to be able to do that... Yes, it was a very weird situation and she would be very isolated, but she did not feel that her ~strange~ employer intended her any harm. I don't have the book with me at the moment (it's at home, and I'm at work), so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. +--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+ Christine Wah Day Email: c.wahday-+AT+-qut.edu.au Research Information Officer Phone: (07) 3864 2861 Office of Research, QUT Fax: (07) 3864 1304 +--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+ --+--+--+--+--+--+ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 05 Apr 2000 23:44:53 -0400 From: "John Anthony Kazos Jr." To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Sundancer MIA, and Fire Rose... My ISP went offline (long story), and it has taken me a while to get reconnected, but here I am. So, have I missed anything?. I read an email mentioning an Alberich story, and new Eric Banyon stories!!. That will be great!. ------------------------------ End of MERCEDES-LACKEY Digest 2260 **********************************
