Has it ever been mentioned?" It may have happened, but because Companions tend to choose their names they'd shoose their old ones, while as a human they would have been given names by their parents. And the only reason we know Herald to Companion happened is because of the name. Ex; Savil to Sayvil(sp). just a thought(wow! a thought). Oh, along the same lines what about Companion to Herald, like if Rolan is killed would he be able to become a Herald? or after you're a Companion can you be a Herald, are all Companions reicarnated Heralds? Brain overload, it's vacation I'm not supposed to think this much. Is the foal a unique individual related to his/her parents, or are they a returning Herald, and if so, how would that work?. All in all, satisfactory thanks to the fluffly towels still carried by the no longer newbie though long-time lurker...~ Heyla, listsibs... My marks worth on this is that it doesn't have to be a Herald coming back.. just something "bright path intended" as Kethry would say. According to what the Hawkbrothers (particularly Starwind & Moondance) everything comes back eventually... it's a great circle. The newly born colt/filly might be oh.. a kyree coming around again with an inclination that would match with being a Companion or Herald. Remember that at times there were more Heralds than others and so more Companions. Where is this addition coming from if only recycled Heralds/Compaions? *g* Well... now you know my thoughts.. ~whew~ that's a lot for a Monday and a de-lurk... ~offers umbrellas with sheep patterns to those that need...~ Bright the day (even if it's rainy!) listsibs!
