Firesong... Well, I did like him in the Owl books. And he wasn't /bad/ in the Wind books. It's just that /evil/ little scene in Storm Warning/Rising, I think, and his whole ickiness about the An'desha thing. He earned a place on my Characters To Be Smacked List (plug: www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/2064/charlist.html), from which I will quote: "His attitude...seems to be something like, "Oh, no. I am gorgeous enough to have everyone for miles around afflicted with severe lust for me, powerful enough to level a good-sized city or two, and have never known real hardship, but I don't have a lifebond. Oh, the horror, the horror. And now, my lover (insert horrified gasp here) has decided to get a life and a mind of his own. Woe, woe. I shall sulk and throw tantrums and be generally petty." This guy doesn't need a lifebond, he needs a swift kick in a convienient location." To defend the man, and misquote Python, he got better.
