Starts in Valdamar? Message-ID: I know it's not in the valdemar books, but in Misty's Bardic Voices series there is a technologically advanced civilization. And I thought the concept was very well written, and anyway don't the teladras seem technologically advanced? only thier comforts are due to magic and not science. I see misty's idea of an "industrial Revolution" could be well played out... I should be getting my copy in the mail in the next few days. It was mailed off yesterday. There was a really good reveiw of it in 'Explorations' the free publication that B. Dalton issues. I will quote a few lines "One of the things that Mercedes Lackey has always excelled at is character development, and that skill shines through in this novel." "The other peripheral characters that move in and out of Lavan's life are all complete and vividly drawn. They make Brightly Burning the wonderful tale that it is." The reviewer had nothing at all negative, not even remotely about the book, and they had read other Velgarth books so were familiar with Lackey's past books. I can't wait to get my own copy so I can sit and get some serious reading done. I'll try my hardest not to spoil any of it for you all. - Ellevaranachai Shay'Nara'Val Herald Trainee, but Bard wannabe => Rethwellan by Nature, Chosen by Virtue ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Friday, May 05, 2000 7:17 AM Subject: Brightly Burning > Brightly Burning is out!!!!! I guess I know what the next book I'll be starting is. Now I just have to fine a kitten and puppy proof place to put the jacket til I'm finished reading it (I'm one of those people that removes the jacket while reading a book). -- Trinity In a message dated 5/5/00 1:53:08 PM Eastern Daylight Time, tlevans-+AT+-home.com writes: << Yes it is out!
