Message-ID: <20000622224319.2612.qmail-+AT+-web1603.mail.yahoo.com> This may well be an old topic on the listserve, but I thought that we needed a new topic. What story would you most like to see Misty do next? Personally, I have a few. I'd love to see the full story behind Sunsinger and Shadowdancer. The few songs that I've read have been wonderful and just make me want to know more! Second, I want more elf books. I'm a little greedy that way. I got introduced to Misty through the elf books (_Chrome Circle_ was the first), and I think there are still places that she can go with the characters. What are your opinions? If you think this is a stupid topic, just don't respond. I'm only trying to get some conversation going. Ashandra __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo! Its definitely an old topic but one I don't mind repeating since I come up with new ideas all the time. As far as I know..if I remember correctly from Ask Misty on Firebird, Misty has no plans to ever write Sunsinger and Shadowdancer into a full length novel. From what I understand there are certain things in Velgarth that she just wishes to leave as myths and those two and the Founding of Valdemar are both in that category. I would really have loved to know more too but on the other hand I can understand where she is coming from. As far as elf stories go all I can say is YES!!! I really really really want to read the next Eric/Beth/Kory book and the next Serrated Edge which I guess is going to be out soonish at least. Some of the stories I'd really like to see are Savil's early life. In Sword of Ice we got how she met the Tayledras but I would love to know how she got Chosen, what she did in her early years etc. As far as that goes I'd like to know more about Needs past the snippets we got in the Winds books really roused my curiosity. I'd also like to know what happens with Tarma's clan after Kethry's children refounded it we get little snippets By the Sword but I want to know more!! Others I'd like to know more about are Iftel and its founding what happened behind that barrier. Two wishes are coming true since Misty is writing the stories of Skif and Alberich but I'd also like to know more about Urtho and all the characters from Brightly Burning I really liked some of the supporting characters in the book and I'd like to know more about them. Perhaps Misty might write a book set in the Empire in the period just before the Founding, showing us what the Baron and his people fled from. We could get to meet Baron Valdemar *without* having to make explict all the early details of the Kingdom since the book could end once they escape from the Empire's clutches... Message-ID: <34.6ea4acc.2684c691-+AT+-aol.com> i have always felt the way you do, and would like to see more of the elves, but not to revisit the rescue work they do with abused children, though that may be worked in some way. misty all ready has at least a couple books dealing directly with that issue, when the bough breaks and wheels of fire. i would rather see more of their day to day interaction with humans, and the inherent problems. That was one reason I liked knight of ghosts and shadows so much and summoned to tourney, they described the various adjustments needed for daily life between elves and humans.
