Here's something Cariad wrote in response to the following question: > > What story would you most like to see Misty do next? > >Ooh, this is a good topic! I would love more elf books too, more >Kory/Beth/Erik books especially...! I would also love to read a story about >the Shin'a'in - she's written so many Talaydras books, and only little bits >about the Shin'a'in. =] Since the Tarma/Kethry stories were my faves, >anything more about them would be really cool too. And I would love to see >more short stories (a la Sword of Ice). *grin* I love Tarma and Keth as well!! It would be great if Misty wrote more about the Shin'a'in... since what we have gotten about them doesn't really go in-depth about their life (like how Misty goes in-depth with the Tayledras.) I'd also like to see what happens to Tale'sedrin (a.k.a. Keth's bunch ;) after they became a clan again. And, despite the number of books about them already, I really like the Tayledras and want to find out yet more about them. Possibly the relationship between them, the Kaled'a'in, and the Shin'a'in. I heard Misty was doing a fourth Owl book... so that'll probably answer some of this. At any rate, I'd be open to any stories from Misty right now! :) Well, that's it I guess! In the same vein, I would like her to write a book from the point of view of a Deliambren noble or a Haspur scout (if they were around back then) before the age of interstellar combat. And I would shave my head for a book of the rise of Solaris (beginning after the story in Sword of Ice) or a book of the creation of the Eastern empire. And I would shave my entire body, paint it green, and parade through the quadrangle for a book (or trilogy) of the Haileigh (sp?) a century or so after the age of Tadrith Wyrsabane. (Let's face it. That trick finally was a coup equal to some of his father's. *grin*) On Tue, 27 Jun 2000, Victoria H. wrote: > Heyla again, all! I have this memory of seeing somewhere its just until he meets Talia. But I really want to know how he got on in the K'Leshya vale when he went back with Nyara. Come to think of it I'd like to hear how Nyara is doing without Need now. Anyonelse people would like to hear more of? The other ones I can think of are: Alberich - the books due out when? Baron Valdemar Karal - I know loads of people didn't like him but I thought he was one of the best characters. IMNSHO, as an example of why I think she might want to leave off writing about Valdemar and the time eras she's been doing is that right now everything she writes about Companions gets so over analyzed by some of us that it might be nice for her to set a book in a popular world (so it would sell) but about things that are new to us (and possibly to her). Last, I would like her to return to a more involved and complex writing style. I like her Owl series, and I enjoyed BB, but I miss some of the complexities of character she had before - like Tremane or Alberich. I know I've asked this before, but I somehow accidently unsubbed, so I'm gonna ask again: Has anyone read Lazerwarz? Is it worth reading? And are there any familiar characters in it? On the skif book debate.. >I have this memory of seeing somewhere its just until he meets Talia. Someone, i forget who, said that it was just until he met Talia because the story of his life is told after that in other books. I want to know what happened to him while he was *on* his internship... I know that he fell off a cliff (or something to that effect) and Dirk saved him but I want more details. I also like Dirk's character a lot and would like to know more about him (even if it is combined with a book based around Skif > Baron Valdemar Didn't Misty say that she was gonna leave this in ~Legend~ for ppl to make up their own minds about? I would still like to have a story though... > Karal - I know loads of people didn't like him but I thought he was one of >the best characters. I liked Karal too! > Sun and Shadow I think this was another one of the ~Legend~ thingymerbobbers. Ooh on the Sun and Shadow topic (and i'm thinking now) has anyone got the Heralds Harpers and Havoc CD? I have it on order from Firebirds but it hasn't come thru yet (and given that it is my *dad* who has it on order coz he's living/working in USA at the moment and it probably wont get to him by Friday which is when he's next coming home to see us) and I was wondering what it was like? Worth buying or not? Not that the last question would make a difference to my purchase of it but still... And still on a musical note (no pun intended) I'm going to bring up a beaten, done to death and buried topic because it was triggered off in my mind today. I was re-reading MPawn and had the radio on at the same time. I had just got up to the Lendel/Vanyel first romance bit when Boyzone's "No Matter What" started playing and I just started crying. that sounds really sad now it's written on paper coz i haven't cried at MPawn since the first time i read it and it was more than a little disconcerting. What I was wondering (and what this ramble is ending in) is that does anyone else have songs or tunes that go (for them) with a particular scene from a misty book. Also, one i have just thought of... (had you noticed i'm into ...s today) when Talia and Dirk *get it together* for the first time i think of The Corrs Hopelessly addicted. I'm done now, it's 10:34 and I have the dreaded "Sports Day" tomorrow.
