Message-ID: <872A9D7CC09CD11188CE00805FBB042E05BFFD81-+AT+-emswwc7.weyer.com> OOOOO, everyone seems to be forgetting this one - and isn't that odd? Just like in the books: IFTEL!!! I WANNA KNOW WHAT THATS ALL ABOUT! I about feel off my chair when I read the storm series with the Iftel involvement... But that would probably spoil the whole "mood" surrounding the country. bummer. I too want to read more about Solaris and how she came in to power. I'd also like a book on Elspeth Peacemaker - like how she got the title - maybe with some of young Savil thrown in there for good measure?? > And I loved the Di Tregarde series - it breaks my heart that there won't be any more of those books. They appealed to my Dean Koontz, Steven King reading style. I thought her characterization in that book was most cool. And Jinx High really left me hanging for more. Oh well...such is life. Question for Paul - the man, the myth, the legend: (and I didn't see this one answered on Firebird, but haven't checked in a month or three) I'm on Patricia K. Morrison's mailing list and lot went on over there about Misty maybe taking over the Marion Z B. Darkover series...Is that legit? (I know, its not like she doesn't have enough to write about, right? right. ) Only 11 days till Year 4 at Hogwarts!!!!!!!!!! -Suzi ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2000 17:26:59 -0500 From: Amy Trujillo To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: ML what we'd like to see next.... I read lazerwarz oh I'd say 4 months ago. If you've read the other books in Mark Shepard's spin off series, Elvendude and Spiritride you'll recognize the characters if not you're out of luck. The book is ok I think its quality wise not nearly as good as the Serrated Edge series. Personally I think the Serrated Edge book misty did with Shepard was the weakest of the series too. Its a fun book to read but it had some major problems. To be honest I probably would have left the book in the store but it was a signed copy. Spiritride is the best of the books that I've read, at least in my opinion. On Tempest Fugit...I'd love to read it too but I think I read in ask Misty or somewhere that its been delayed and that a different Serrated Edge book is being released first. Either way should at least be a fun read. The book I can't wait for, aside from anything Valdemarn, is the next Eric/Beth/Kory book. It was OK, but I felt it wasn't anything outstanding it didn't have me in a page turning frenzy. Think it was partially that lasertag situation just wasn't all that exciting to me. Neiher the seting or the characters really stirred me. ------------------------------ Date: 28 Jun 00 00:17:21 EST From: rebecca skeel To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: [Re: ML what wed like to see next....] Message-ID: <20000628051721.476.qmail-+AT+-www0v.netaddress.usa.net> Has anyone read Brightly Burning? I just ordered mine this morning and they gave an extra 10% off - very cool! As for story I'd like to see - this is a far one but I'd like to see what happens when Florian comes back. It make me think about lifebonds, " he's everything you want/he's everything you need/he everything inside of you that you would like to be/he says exactly the right thing/at excatly the right time....". It somehow explains what the lifebond is to me. I really would like a short almost legend-like thing on the founding, it's not impossible to write legends down so they stay legends, same with Sun adn Shadow. I don't care when Skif adn Alberich's stories come out , actually I prefer a good few years of work on them because the best book are when she doesn't spew 'em out, IMNSHO.
