That means you just pay the postage. I was not very thrilled with it -- I thought her characters were too trite and shallow. But that's just my opinion. How can a Character be shallow by giving up his life to make sure his people are sagfe? Thats not shallow then again I might be wrong :shrugs: >> I am referring more to ML's way of dealing with some of the people around the central character. I just didn't think they were that plausible. I'm not commenting on the main character -- but I might add that there were a lot of things in this book that never were satisfactorily explained. I mean -- lifebonded to your companion? That's fine -- but there wasn't any real explanation about if that had ever happened before, etc. Like I said, anyone who wants the hardback can contact me, and I'll send it to them COD (that means you'll probably pay $3 or so in postage). The story was great and had the potential to be something really excellent. But the whole thing seemed a bit rushed to me. It would have been a much better read as a trilogy (or at least a duology), I think. Still, the ending was very sad, and I *did* cry, even though I thought it was very rushed. (And even though the characters didn't develop much.) All in all, I thought the book was good, but not one of my favs of Misty's. Ah, but the next line goes on to say "But he means nothing to you and you don't know why", which is more like what I felt for my ex-boyfriend before I realized that I cared for my current husband like I did. I agree with you on both points. One of my other favorite authors is Diana Gabaldon. For those of you who aren't familiar with her works, she has 4 books out right now (one trilogy and the beginning of another, although few know that). These books are huge, one of them is 850 pages long. They're also extremely well researched and written, fascinating reads. Sort of historical fantasy romance, it doesn't really fit any established category. However, it takes her around 2 years or more to get each of them put out... but I don't care, because I KNOW when the next one comes out it'll be good. =) > NIce sunny-warm-not-muggy-weather bringing sheepto >those who would like them MEEEE! Both authors have(had) so many fans waiting with baited breath for their next book - I can't imagine Misty doubling production. I would guess that both worlds would suffer for it... (ducks flames) Here's a trick for you - introduce Darkovans to Velgarth to appease all! (NOT!) :) ----- Sorry to send this part to the whole list, but for some reason I couldn't send directly to Pam (who goes by Map ) I did try! Promise! :) SO, Pam: If you haven't had any takers on Brightly Burning yet, I WOULD LOVE IT!!! (jumps up and down.) Maybe you would have better luck emailing me privately??? Please! Thanks.
