I seem to remember a comment in Burning Brightly that Kalira made about running as fast as Windrider. I'd assume that places Windrider as being the Companion, since the Companions can probably run a great deal faster than their Heralds. (; I also seem to recall a passage in Arrows about sometimes the Companions letting the Heralds name them. Maybe that's why he (she?) has more of a Tayledras Take-Name than what I've come to think of as a Companion Born-Name.
