Can moms be > integral central characters? Actually Keisha's mother is relatively active in some of the Owl books. But she spends most of her time avoiding her so I'm not sure if that counts. That is an intersting point though. There are lots of strong father/son bonds among the Tayledras clans (all names are escaping me b/c I'm brain dead) but there are very few mother/child bonds. There aren't that many daughter/parent bonds either. Are there any elderly women in the Tayledras clans? I can't remember hearing of any right now. hmmmm.... Good thoughts for mother and baby in the hospital.....I hope the healing goes well! I remember because at the start of one of them her daughter finds a dead body and it makes Kethry very upset. For a few days, the List Server was down. Thanks to our Council of Mist, it's back up and functional again. First off, please give my love to Lady Freedom Justice Walker. I do not know her that well, but she is in my thoughts. =] Secondly, on Misty characters who are maternal mothers, instantly Kethry springs to mind. There was that one short story, where one of her children found the dead body? She was also maternal towards her granddaughter Kero. And Tarma was very maternal too, though she wasn't a mother. But that's the only case I can think of offhand, except Hydonia who was already mentioned. wind to thy wings! ~Cariad AKA Lady Ember Echosinger ----------------------------------------------- FREE!
