I don't have those books here with me right now, but I do have "Burning Water", and happened upon the conversation between Diana and Mark Valdez where she was telling him this (pg 183). She calls it "The Tregarde Creed". <<"There ain't no such thing as 'one true way', and the way you find is only good for you, not anybody else, because your interpretation of what you see and feel and understand as the truth is never going to be the same as anyone else's.">> There is no "one true way" is actually a fairly popular belief in the Wiccan religion which I believe(I haven't read the books yet, so I'm not 100% sure) is Diana's religion. So it makes sense that she would be quoting it... Where Misty got it from in the first place though, I don't know. I'd be kind of curious to know if she got the phrase from Wicca or came up with it herself, originally. I have read all of the Valdemar series and most of the Bard series but have never read any of the Velgrath series. I was wondering,if it's not to much to ask,if someone could tell me the names of some of the books in the series. I would really appreciate it. The Velgarth series is simply another, more expansive name, for the Valdemar series. Velgarth is the world where Valdemar is located, so all of the books that take place in that world, whether they take place in Valdemar itself, are part of the Velgarth series. Thus the books in the Velgarth series would be the Valdemar books, the Oathbound series, the Griffon series, and the stand-alone books like "By the Sword." Velgarth is the world where Valdemar, Karse, etc. are located. Hope that helps! And to keep this from being a one liner, Did anyone else get the Firebird emailing that said the Skif and Alberich books are on hold? Misty has decided on the advice of a friend at TOR to do an 8 book adult series on life in the collegium instead of the other books for now. She did specifically state that these are going to be adult not young adult, so for those of us who thought the more adult books are better this is a real plus. Still I had really wanted to read the Skif and Alberich books, guess I'll just have to be patient as hard as that is at times.
