SPLOOSH!!!!! congratulations all you newbies! you've been splooshed by the Enchanted Bucket #2 TM. Welcome to the halls of mist! be sure and mop the floor when you move, the caretaker can get *very* annoyed if you leave great puddles everywhere!! If you haven't already found it then the newbiefest is at http://www.ling.udel.edu/hyde/pers/misty/newbiefest.html it will explain everything from "the big sheep thing" to councillors of mist and all in between. once again welcome :) ** Right now that's gotten out of the way... Mindgifts is the cause of my post today. More specifically the thought sensing ones. In MPrice, Van can enter Stef's mind (there's textevd about it when Van has to go off to Rethwellan and Stef can't go with him) and he can "overhear" anything that isn't directly shielded against him. Is this purely down to the strength of his mindspeach or could any herald project into someone elses mind. Or is it something that just isn't used because heralds *dont* do it anymore? And the companions too... Keren and Teren have mindlinks with each other and with each other's companions as well as their own. Is the companion link to do with them being twins or just something random? And also Yfandes speaks directly into Stef's mind when she needed too. And likewise with Rolan into Dirk. Was that to do with the lifebondings between their chosen and the other party or something any companion could do? And do the companion's gifts vary in strength in individuals like the heralds do? Opinions please ppl. or textevd please. i don't have the winds or storms where it goes into more detail about the whyfors of companions. Thanks :) Oh and does anyone have any opinions on the Luck In The Shadows trilogy by Lynn Flewelling? I've ordered it from Amazon but it hasn't come thru yet. can i have some opinions without spoilers. I'm all for opinions today but i'm waffling now so i'll go to bed! I'm considering buying this Misty book called Sword of Ice and I was wondering if I could get your reviews for it (no spoilers PLEEEEEEZE) before I bought it... also, for the books Oathbound, Oathblood, and the Oathbreakers. I repeat, NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!! If I remember correctly, Sword of Ice was pretty good. I read it a while ago, so i don't remember much more than that. As for the Oaths, I give them my highest raitings. I LOVED them. Oathbound and Outbreakers are the first Misty books I read and the books that got me hooked on her books. I've now got 40+ (I haven't really counted in awhile though). I highly recommend them. They are books I picked up in my "Girl Power" phaze. Brightly Burning is the new (ish) book by LAckey by herself, isn't it? I just got it for my birthday and plowed through it and thought it was one of Misty's best recent efforts. Which collaboration was with Norton and Bradley? Was that one of the Trillium books? Pax, Eilis Siobhan Maire Ni Mhuineachain, a.k.a.
