All right, I'll concede this one--I'd forgotten those. I was really thinking 
more of what they do with the body afterwards... burial? Entombment? 
Cremation? What?

And that goes for Companions, too...

Many to most Heralds die in the field, in
circumstances too dangerous to reclaim the body.  The
soul is remembered at the funeral, and the body
forgotten, it seems.  I don't think there is any text
evd as to what happens to Heralds who die of old age.
