Actually it's in Burning Brightly.  Kilara's dad, whatever his name is said
that when Companions are ready to Choose they will feel an urge to go get
thier Hearld.  He aslo said that Companions can have "false alarms".  Someone
also asked about the age of Companions when they Choose.  That answer in in
Arrows Flight, Talia comforts Elspeth by saying that she knows that
Companions don't Choose until they were at least 10 years ols and maybe her

Is Cast of Corbies more like this one or the older ones, and is it worth reading? I've never read it because the cheezy cover art turned me off. :) Electric-Blanket sheep to all! I'm rather a fan of very descriptive writing, as evidenced from the fact that two of my fave authors are L.E. Modesitt and J.V. Jones (who're great at that!). The thing that got me in OF was the fact that Darien was rather immature. Thankfully, he's a bit better in the next two books. Also, much of the second book, OwlSight, centers around the Healer (forgot her name! sorry!). So, IMHO, I would recommend that you read the other books... But, you may just want to buy them in paperback... ===== ---<---<---<----+AT+- Li'nia Stormdancer -+AT+---->--->--->--- Peon to the Powers That Be, Goddess of All Things Possessed, & Caretaker of the Arena of Discussion and Dissention __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
