I cracked open the Silver Gryphon theother day and I was looking at the illustration on the front cover and I mean REALLY looking. Then, I noticed that Blade bore an uncanny resemblanceto Tarma... so I picked up my handy ol' copy of Oathblood in order to make sure I wasn't losing it... and it was then that I noticed that not only does Blade look like Tarma, she looks like Kethry! And the three of them allbear some odd resemblance to Cher! I'm losing it, yes, but I thought someone would be amused by this so I decided to post anyway. Have a nice day! Well, that is true! And very-well should it be! Think for a few secounds... Jody Lee drew the ilustrations for both of those books and since the Shin'ain are supposed to be a branch-off of the Kal'adin I'd say that it's only wise to draw them nearly the same. And besides, one person usualy addopts a drawing-style and sticks to it! Chocolate-covered sheep to all! Zhai'helleva! Thanks to whoever it was who posted the Bann URL. I have just been and read the first 3 transcrips, and I have definitely put that on my wish list for January!. Luckily thing my birthday is in January :). Question: The Albrich story. Did someone mention that was in a book called Werehunter?. It dips, bobs and meanders through this murky realm over to where we see Layla Voll. Layla, I have seen you braid (yeah!), write thoughtful and insightful emails about Misty's work, and would like you to be the next in the tradition of bearing this friendship ring. Keep it for a week, look around at your list mates for someone, and see whom you would next like to bestow it on. (and ask the councillors if you have questions about this ring and criteria for passing it on).* ******** Layla wrote: Perhaps it's just that a couple of different friends of mine have recently given birth to their first children, but that's especially something I'd like to see: a happy couple early in their relationship, discovering that they're going to have a child. I would have loved to see Dirk as an expectant father, for instance. ML almost goes out of her way to have pregnancy go on off-screen between the books, which is pretty amazing given how many children do end up being born: Talia, Selanay, and Kethry all have children between books. (Actually, I can't think of any in-book pregnancies at all, but I could easily be missing something.) ******* I agree; the fears, concerns, impact, strains on the relationship, etc., while not a major plot, could add dimensions to any characters involved in the main plot. And those first three months afterwards - forget about sleep!!! A short story about a herald dealing with someone who has psychosis (sp?) from sleep deprivation from a baby could be both humorous and realistic (and this idea is now hereby officially claimed free for anyone who wants to take it). I liked it, since it finally cleared up for me how his Companion had managed to go across the Border into enemy territory and Choose our favorite Weaponsmaster!
