Okay, so in AotQ, it says that often, the MO is chosed from someone who is already a herald, or about to be one.  In fact, Keren says that Talamir hoped that she or Teren would succeed him...okay, so, if you are already chosen, you already have a companion, and a companion bond, and all that...so how can you be re-chosen?  What happens to your first companion?  I vaugly remember something in one of the Magic's book (MPromise, maybe?) about an unbonded choosing, because the person in question was going to later be chosen as MO...but I don't really remember the details...unfortunately, I am on the other side of the country from my books...very frustraiting, let me tell you! 

Well, I am now off to conquor the great mysterys of Calculus II...considering the fact that I haven't got a clue, and my final is tomorrow *Lightsong blushes, as she realizes just how much she has been slacking*  Hey, this is my first semester of college...I'm allowed to slack a LITTLE, aren't I?  *Lightsong ducks an incomming sheep and looks around to see who threw it...*  Starshadow!  Like you can talk!  You slack off at least as much as me, if not more!  *Lightsong hears her she'enedra giggle, and then retreat back into lurkdom*  Okay, back to beating my head against my calculus book!

It said that it was so close that the twins could talk to eachothers companions. Okay, I know that that doesn't necesarraly mean a close bond, but it certainly emplys it, right. Plus I know that it said tht Keren had a really close bond to her companion, remember that she was the first one to get Rolan's cry for help when Talia took her little dip in the river. Does this make any sense? Yes :) I remember the bit about Keren's close bond with her Companion: Ylsa comments on it when she's explaining to Talia how she was rescued. (She says something like, "I've never seen such a close Herald-Companion bond: Keren and her Companion were off and running before my Companion was able to tell me that something was wrong.") And I remember the bit about the twins' talking to each other's Companions, but I thought that was more a comment on the bond between Teren and Keren, not Teren and his Companion. (Ylsa also comments on how strong the bond between the twins is.) But I'm not sure that Teren's bond with his Companion is supposed to be especially strong. I'd guess that if Talamir ever thought about it, he had more hope for Teren, especially since Teren was a good teacher, and good with kids, and would therefore be a better MO for Elspeth than he felt he had been for Selanay. There has been talk lately about the MO bond etc. In Mpromise Vanyal says he "half expected" Taver to Choose Him. remember in Mpawn, Gala rpeudated 'lendal - in other words she broke the bond. There was sepctualtion a little while ago that (basically) lifebonds exist through all lives, but choosings may not *looks out for flying sheep*. My personal take (using above information) is that the MO companion will choose a Herald, the that Herlads compainion will break the bond between the herald and him/herself and (maybe) choose again. Or something to that effect. remember, the Mo is gorveborn and therefore can do stuff no other compaion can do!
