I swear I "heard" him speaking in Christopher Judge's voice. Christopher Judge is the actor who plays Teal'c on Stargate SG-1 and provides the voice for Magneto on X-Men Evolution. I also seemed to hear Michael Dorn as another mindspeaker, probably Tyrsell. Michael Dorn is most known for playing Worf on Star Trek, but also does voice work for animation, such as I.M. Weasel. Y'know, I've been through other "dream casting" threads for books/comics -> movies, but I've never had this experience for voice-only casting. Just thought I'd share, WinterBear ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jan 2001 08:58:44 -0800 (PST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Jasmin=20Haviland?= To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Misty and the Japanese language... They remind you when they need food and five minutes of work in the morning keeps their litterbox clean.. Bond-birds, for all their intelligence, sound like they could be *a lot* of work.. Unless said bond-bird comes with a few Hertasi to take care of it. And I'm afraid I'm on the Tannim band wagon. Yum. Tannim. Or Joe.. But why be able to meet just one person? I think if I'm going to have access to a device (whether magical or scientific) that allows me to meet book characters, I'm going to meet lots of them. ^_^ Some Elves, some bards, some dragonriders.. ^_^ But between wars, battles or conflicts.. No blood and guts near me, please. (Me? Unable to stand the sight of blood? Yes. ^_^ ) >i'm allie and am a student at simon fraser university, vancouver, canada. My name is jodie Schultz. I am 19 years old and am a sophmore at the University of Kentucky in the USA. Ihave thoroghly enjoyed everythign that has been sent to this list :) Well I couldnt help but answer to who my favorite character is. My all time favorite character has got to be vanyel. I know he is shaych and I'd never have have a chance with him cause well i am a girl but i love everything about him. I love how not only is he like the worlds greatest mage but he is also like a real person who makes mistakes and gets lonely like all of us. But anyways he is my hero. so I wish everyone pepsi or coke filled sheep (I prefer pepsi) Wind to thy wings Jodie Queen of typos ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jan 2001 19:13:57 -0800 (PST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Jasmin=20Haviland?= To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Welcome, Bond-Birds, & Person to Meet... I'm Jessie and I'm a Canadian. *hangs head in shame* ... *sputters into uncontrolable laughter* Okay, I tried to make that last. I have to be one of the most patriotic... but anyways, I'm a student from London, Ontario, Canada! Any _adults_ around? :) > (Wanders off singing "It's a small world" very, very badly, and prepared to > duck any flying objects sent her way.) Is there any other way to sing it? *giggles* Uh... Uh... there's suppose to be some kinda ObMisty content isn't there...? *think, think, think* Oh! Bond-birds!! Yeah. That'll work. I have to be a 'not wanting bond birds' kinda person. Birds and I don't get along. I need warm blooded things. Cats would rule, except they're too smart to fight for a common good. Cat's nly care about keeping their tummies full. Dogs have the loyalty neccessary to be something like a Companion. (And I have now nicely wrapped up every thread I've been here for) :) Mata ne!! Typical Canadians, rallying behind a call made by a beer ad.. ^_^ Actually, at 25, I'd like to be considered an Adult.. On the entire cat/dog companion debate.. I do remember a certain Karsite priest saying that Firecats could defend themselves quite admirably. ("And we cleaned up the small pile of ash") And he did defend Karl from those assassin weapons in his quarters quite well. (Got three out of the four) So, I would think, any guardian spirit placed into an earthly body would be given enough abilities to defend themselves and help defend their chosen. And to completely change the subject.. In .. er, one of the later books .. they talk about how Karse used to have a goddess that stood beside their god.. of similar name to the goddess of the Shin'a'in.. Makes one wonder if the Lady of the Plains also once held Karse in protection.. -Lorna ------------------------------ End of MERCEDES-LACKEY Digest 2507 **********************************
