I thought since there doesn't seem to be much traffic on
the list that no one would mind if I ask about paperback
availability.  Does anyone know when Beyond Worlds End
comes out in paperback, how long after Serpants Shadow
comes out in hardback in March will the paperback come out.
I just can't afford to buy the hardbacks at the moment and
theres the new collegium one to come out, anyone know more
about this whole story line thing?  And then theres the
SKif book still due out and the Alberich book.

That's the way its been with most Misty books at least. If you are into the internet auctions at all sometimes you can get the hardbacks really really cheap just a couple of months after their release, I've bought copies of Misty books on Ebay several times for just a couple of dollars plus shipping. You can also sometimes find the three in ones that the sci fi bookclub released of Arrows and The Last Herald Mage. On the McCaffrey book, I read the dust jacket and flipped through it but it just seemed really similar to All the Wyers of Pern, I'll probably end up buying it if for no other reason than McCaffrey can tell a good story. There was some talk of Lynn Flewelling on this list awhile ago, her new book the Bone Doll's Twin is going to be released in the UK in July, I can't wait! she's a great author to read while you're waiting for a new Misty to become available. Going back to Misty though, having just moved to England I have been noticing the distinct difference in cover art between the UK and the US editions of her books. The UK additions are....well, ugly the art work fits Misty's descriptions even more poorly than Jody Lee's and Skan looks like a strangled peacock in the cover of White Gryphon. I'm not a huge fan of Jody Lee's work, but I've come to associate the majority of her art with Misty's books. Also I keep wondering why Baen goes for such cheesy covers on all their books. The covers for The Chrome Circle and Beyond World's End where just flat out ugly and with few exceptions the rest of Baen's cover art is just as bad, is it that they are going for a certain style? or are they just too cheap to buy good artists? Well I think i've rambled enough for now, coca cola popcicle sheep to everyone Amy Ferret Friend Lady of All Things Missing, Especially Socks __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm assuming that I've probably read it, since I'm in NA. I could then give you a definate idea if it's a good book or not. I won't post spoilers, I promise. :) Jessie __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
