The closest I think Misty has come to it was the mention of Teren's being choosen when he's married with kids, and he abandons the marriage (which probably wasn't all that great, given some of the comments made) to be a Herald. dunno. I just thought that might be a "real" thing... couples break up all the time - seems precious few of Misty's romantic relationships have that type of problem... anyway... -suzi ------------------------------ Date: 6 Apr 2001 22:35:47 -0000 From: "~*~ Ciara ~*~" To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re:other character ideas Message-ID: <20010406223547.16592.qmail-+AT+-whitfield.chek.com> >I was thinking - given the life bonds, it would interesting to see a couple together, and "happy" and then one finds a lifebond... Wasn't there a short story, in sword of ice about that? this guy had promised himself to another women, and then he met his lifebonded, and wouldn't be with her? I can't remember what's it's called. . . . Anyone else read that?? Although I can see what you mean, it would be intersting to have a book about a 'happy' couple, and than someone comes along and lifebonds to one of them. . . . ~*~ Ciara ~*~ ~Duct tape is like the force. I don't remember the title and the story only vaguely. Basically the two heralds find they have a lifebond and the one herald had made a promise to someone else even though she wasn't keeping her end of it. The other herald makes a decision in a problem of a couple of mixed up babies. In the end the herald that made the promise learns that it isn't always honor that's important but what's right(if what I'm remembering is making any sense). If anyone else remembers the story clearer than that, please correct me. ~Angie:) ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2001 23:45:55 EDT From: Natetoact-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: [Re:other character ideas] Message-ID: --part1_c0.124ff73d.27ffe773_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit The story, by Mickey Zucker Reichart (which I didn't know when I started reading the story, but after she described one of the characters eyes, I TOTALLY recognized her, she'a a great author, check out the Last Renshai books and After Ragnarok.
