It seemed so formulaic and predictable that it wasn't even enjoyable. I was not looking forward to getting the other books and even delayed getting them as long as possible. This past weekend I picked up the last two (Owlsight and Owlknight) and started reading Owlsight... My opinion has changed. Maybe it's because it's been a LOOOOOONG time since I've read any Velgarth books (been drowned in Wheel of Time) or maybe because this book _is_ better but I'm actually enjoying the story line. I was wondering if any of you had a similar experience? Has your opinion of these books changed? As for the slight error, since the books are only recently in paperback here in the US... I found an error during the wedding ceremony. As the participants of the ceremony are being described, Darian notes that the witnesses of the ceremony are organized in "rainbow order - purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue". As a scientist, I must point out this discrepancy. Purple/violet comes _after_ blue in the standard spectrum of white light. Just my nit-pick for the day...
