We know that Savil came back as Sayvil and Chose Kerowyn, and we believe that Jaysen came back and has now Chosen Daren. Does anyone know of any others? I don't have my books here to reference, so sorry if I'm sounding a bit dense! lol I'm guessing it's because of the re-emergence of the Herald-Mages that they've come back at this time??? I apologize if this is one of those done-to-death threads. Actually, what I find most interesting is how similar the Companions seem to be to their Chosen Heralds. Savil is very much like Kerowyn -- a strong, unconventional woman of noble background who broke away from traditional female roles to succeed in a primarily male field. Daren and Jaysen are pretty similar, as I've said, and Daren's earth-healing-magic Gift isn't too far removed from Jaysen's Mage Gift with a touch of Healing. I haven't read Magic's Price or Promise (soon, though!), so I'm not sure whether it also holds true for Tantris and Kris. Also -- Jaysen and Savil are good friends: although Savil considers him a bit narrow-minded and unimaginative, she also knows that he is intensely loyal and exceptionally competent in his particular field. Ditto for Daren and Kerowyn. I wouldn't be at all surprised to discover that Jaysen and Savil had at one point been sleeping together, but that it was a long time ago and they have since moved to a very satisfying platonic relationship based on a mutual respect and affection.
