(I haven't read any of the other ones yet). The book is well written, and I absolutely love the way Misty writes the character of Odile, taking it mostly from her point of view rather than the POV of one of the "good guys", but it seemed like the entire book was building up to what would be an amazing ending...and then it just ended really quickly and slightly anticlimactically and it was like..."Wait a minute..." I'd also be interested in knowing if there are any new books coming out. I'm a bit greedy myself. - Lady Bard Dark Starwind --- Doreen Glynn wrote: > That's one of my pet peeves too. And, they all build wonderfully, delightful characters...and fall apart in the last 20-30 pages with anticlimactic climaxes. From the first 9/10ths of each book, I expected SO MUCH more! At least it's not just me... I got snowed under with some horrible technical glitches. (Actually, Windoze betrayed me and failed horribly.. so new bits of hardware and some reinstalls later... you really don't want to hear all about it. You just don't. Honest. I mean I've been running cables about and installing.. no no no.. you Don't want to know :-) I'm back for the moment - at least until Windows decides to go on holiday leaving me looking at error messages again :-) I'll pass the query along. Incidentally, the fastest way to pin questions on Misty nowadays is to go to http://bar.baen.com and log in to Misty's discussion board. She actually hangs out there personally. Now y'all egg her on to remember to do the books, and not hang out at the bar all day, right? :-) Paul ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hill, Susan" To: Sent: Thursday, June 14, 2001 8:09 PM Subject: languages > I had a thought... > > just read the Lord of the Rings trilogy - and there's a Lake on the map - > Called Lake Evendim > > Same as in Western Valdemar...
