Would this be a good thing to send out to the list? Would it spoil the books for you to have rough draft material for you to examine, or would you be champing at the bit to get hold of Skif and Alberich ahead of time, even if only in part? :-) Would you just be interested in Valdemar stuff, or do you want (for example) Spirits White as Lightning snippets too? I'm not promising these things mind, I'm just suggesting that they may be possibilities once in a while.. Let me know how you all feel. Paul ~~~~~ I, for one, am all for it. Even though I can be considered an impatient Witch-with-a-Capitol-B, I'd love those teasers. My vote also goes for all of Misty's works; my favorites are the Diana Tregarde books, but I have enjoyed all of them. Well, all that I have read, which for sure is not all of Misty's works. Just got in Serpent's Shadow yesterday, but I have to finish the current book I'm reading (Harry Potter) before starting on it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Yah, but I live in New Zealand where at the moment the exchange rate puts things at double to triple the price PLUS the cost to import... It's a headache. ~Silvershadow~ ~~~~~ This is one of the reasons why I think that sites such as Napster are not the end-all, be-all evil conglomerates the legal battles make 'em out to be. Granted, there is copyright infringement going on (I won't deny that) but it does serve a purpose for getting music out to fans all around the world who would normally not have any access to such music. Also, I know sites such as mp3.com charge fees so that they can pay the royalties due to artists. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Re Gwena and her continuous bombardment of Elspeth down one path, didn't it say somewhere - the text people will probably put me right - that Gwena was very young? tamlin I believe it was in the second Winds book, after Vanyel yanked on the Gate to make 'em all come to Valdemar. Van was talking to Darkwind, Elspeth, and Firesong and mentioned that (paraphrase of quote) "Remember, Gwena is young." Whether or not that's referring to her age as in when she was Grove-born or if the spirit of Gwena, reincarnated Herald, was someone who died young so has not the benefit of years of experience that, for instance, Savil/Sayvil has. I think that it would be awesome to see her rough drafts/ snipets of upcoming books. I also am a huge fan of her non-Valdemar books, so I would be totally cool with that :-) > >Question. Okay, well jsut in case some people haven't read that book, even though it has been out forever. S P O I L E R In the end it turns out that she can make a different and halp out people without being a herald. She doesn't need a companion to become an important person and live a good life. Since she doesn't need one (Because she has worked so hard at developing all those traits) she doesn't get one. Rough drafts are our friends. :) I bless your warm little soul. > I believe it was in the second Winds book, after Vanyel yanked on the > Gate to make 'em all come to Valdemar. Gwena is Grove-born, therefore, I'm almost possitive that she is NOT a reincarnated Herald. Vanyel also said that (also paraphrasing :) ) "She has no real human experience." Therefore she wouldn't know that people like to plan their own lives. Not that that's any excuse or makes it less annoying. :) Jessie ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
