It's gone dead! Nobody has comments? *grin* I mean, if you hate it, love it or have spotted 300 typos, now's the time to let me know when there's even a hint of a chance of calling the publisher and telling them :) (Actually, it's probably too late in both cases, but hey). As to typos... oh, my goodness, are there a lot there... and I do mean a lot. But good nonetheless. Sorry for the short post. I'm not feeling eloquent today. ~Aurora --- Misty's Secretary wrote: > I hate to post a short message, but er.. has me > posting snippets out stopped > people wanting to play? One thing that particularly interested me was that the writing style seemed different (to me) from that in the other Valdemar books. It seemed more complex - longer sentences, more 'detail' clauses and an altogether more relaxed feel to the structure. I liked this and I'm looking forward to seeing if it continues throughout the book and into other novels. I also found I missed the italics that usually mark a character's thoughts - at least in my editions; I hadn't realised before quite how much easier they make it to follow the thread of who's speaking or thinking. Opinions, anyone? (Contradictory comments welcome :) Cheers, Becky. .. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Aug 2001 13:12:33 +1200 From: Shannon.Wiltshire-+AT+-vodafone.co.nz To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Snippets Message-ID: Personally I thought it was fantastic - more more :) I cant wait till the Alberich one comes out - that will be very cool see it all from Alberichs point of view. Speaking of Karsites I wonder if the suncats will appear in any other books - I really liked them - and wouldnt it be funky if one came back that we had met in a book....
