Just wondering, anywho, uh yeah. >From: "Terri Carter" Has anyone heard >if she is going to come out with anymore Valdemar books? She is coming out with a new valdemar book in October( I think) Called Takes A Theif. It's about Skif. And Paul has been sending out various snipets of it for us to read becuase he is SUCH a nice guy. I personally plan to be the first one at the book store the day it comes out. Also about the founding >of Valdemar and more, more, more! I LOVE these books! I don't think there will ever be a book about the founding, much as we would love it. Oh and I am on a mission to find the Addy for Newbiefest, I will post it as soon as I find it. BTW - great timing on the "NewbieFest" addy - it was the third message I got after joining the list. Interesting: so your favorite characters don't appear in your favorite books? I have a hard time separating the two things, although I did really like the Last Herald Mage series despite Vanyel not being one of my favorites. (Not that I *dis*like him: I just wouldn't list him as one of my favorites). I suspect that there are some characters that I like more than I might otherwise because I like the book that surrounds them: the Arrows books were my first Mercedes Lackey books, and I loved them, and suspect that I am therefore fonder of Talia and Dirk than I might be otherwise. I enjoy rereading "Arrows of the Queen" and "Arrows Fall," but there are parts of "Arrow's Flight" where I get very impatient with Talia. I also suspect that there are books that I like more than I might otherwise because of the people: there are sections of "By the Sword" where nothing really happens, but I don't mind because I find Kerowyn and the Skybolts so much fun to watch. Message-ID: Hello Everyone, I'm a newbie to the list, but I am glad to be here and very interested in discussion all things Misty! My favorite Misty books are the Urban Fantasy books... And my favorite characters are Beth and Kory from Bedlam's Bard.. I just finished reading Beyond World's End, and was interested in everyone's thoughts... I've included spoiler space... Spoiler 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 I was sort of disappointed by the brief appearances of Beth and Kory in this sequel. I really love the interaction between these two characters and missed seeing them more in this plot. Does anyone have a scoop as to whether these characters will appear more in the next book? I think its called "Spirit's White as Lightning" I apologize if this has already been discussed to death... Or if this is a 'dead horse' topic. (Grin). Anyone have any thoughts on this?
