The good wishes are much appreciated...there are a LOT of people who need them. I can't even tell you what it was like to see that happen...I hope I never see anything so horrible again. I'm trying to let all of my family and friends know that I'm okay, but all of the phone lines are down, so that makes things rather difficult. Is there anyone else on the list from this area? Is everyone okay? I hope that this horrible event can be resolved quickly..as vain a hope as that is, I don't want to think about what kind of a situation this could turn into... About 2 miles from Andrews AFB (where the President flies out of). It's been utter chaos down here with all the government buildings being evacuated after the attack on the Pentagon. Plus false alarms of car bombs at the Capital Building and State Department. The city has pretty much shut down for the time being. I don't know what it's like in New York though. I was devasted to hear about the loss of life up there. I remember the Oklahoma City Bombing, and this is a lot worse. Even if the phone lines weren't down, I left on bad footing with his wife and she probably wouldn't want to hear from me. I guess I will just have to wait until some kind of list comes out:( I saw the second tower fall on TV and started crying so hard I could hardly breathe. Plus all the other places that were attacked. It is a Horrible Horrible thing. Everyone who is affected in anyways is in my prayers. I really hope this goes over quickly, swiflty. By the way, It's good to know that you are okay, I was worried about you. All we can do so far, from here, is donate blood. That's where i've just been, local hospital was rather crowded with people with the same idea. rather feels like someone just did something horrible in MY backyard, although we're hundreds of miles away. my best wishes to friends/family of all those affected by todays tragedy. * * * * * tumbling in the autumn breeze across the golden field how bright! how frail how transient is the seasons yield 5/10/01 ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Sep 2001 15:50:48 EDT From: LCM46-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: OT: prayers Message-ID: <60.1397a330.28cfc518-+AT+-aol.com> --part1_60.1397a330.28cfc518_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In a message dated 09/11/01 3:05:54 PM Eastern Daylight Time, talia27-+AT+-hotmail.com writes: > . I'm currently working in northern New Jersey, about 45 miles from NYC. Certain parts of society are going nuts here - schools closing in some cases, municipal courts closing, and things like that. So far, there's no panic in the streets, though. --Michael ------------------------------ Date: 11 Sep 2001 20:02:22 -0000 From: "C. I live about 45 minutes aways from Toronto, Canada, and it's even Chaos here, some of our hospitals are being shut down including sick kids. The CN tower was also shut down. . .This is how things are in Canada, I cannot even being to imagine the unspeakable horrors in NY, again my prayers go out to those of you there, or with family there, ~*~ Ciara ~*~ ________________________________________________________________ Get Free Anime Email, News, Links, Forums and Shopping at http://www.AnimeNation.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Sep 2001 15:49:32 -0500 (EST) From: Veronica M Maddox To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Re: OT: prayers Message-ID: >From what news I have heard, you might want to check your local Red Cross branches.
