Coincedence or what?  Every time I read Storm Rising aloud to my wife, it snows.  last time was in
May, and guess what we had our last snow fall.  I am reading it on tape for a few frieds who are
blind and guess what?  The FIRST snow fall of the winter.

When I was reading 'Takes a Thief' I noticed that Skif was told that he was the first thief to be Chosen, but if I remember right(i haven't had time to check) was the girl, Donnie, from Magic's Pawn a thief before she was Chosen? I recall Sayvil saying or thinking something along those lines when Donnie and Mardic were using the grappling hook to get into the Temple after Vanyel slit his wrists.

Correct me if i'm wrong....

you're not, so much - the quote is "Donni had been a bright little
apprentice-thief when she'd been chosen". So technically, she wasn't a full
thief. Maybe that was the difference.

Your're right, in so far that Donnie was a thief.  Whether she was the first
or not to be chosen, we don't know, but she is the first mentioned.  My
guess is, that such things become lost in history, or that they are expunged
from their records......the peasants might not be happy to know that the
Herald judging them, used to be a thief.....*grin*

I was starting to think the list was dead, myself.  Nice to see there's still
