I was quickly skimming through it during my lunch break, and it's absolutely wonderful! if anyone has a Misty fan on their shopping list who already has Take a Thief and Spirits White as Lightning, then get them this! I do wish I could see what Larry Dixon's maps look like when they're not so small, but they still look nice. I was most impressed by the online section of the book. it lists webrings, and the current address for Queen's Own. this thing is so incredibly *current*! well, enough gushing. go. buy! ~Aurora Nelson White Winds Sorceress Rea Wildfire Tayledras Scout Darkstar Herald Jaydan Ranalth, Chosen by Arleth Tayledras Scout Cometfire (hopes she remembered all her personas correctly. and, yes, they're official!) --- Jadzia wrote: > > Has anyone else bought this book yet? I've been keeping mine busy these days. I've got a Walden card, so with the 10% discount and no shipping, it's usually cheaper than buying from Amazon on most books. My local WB finally had the Companion yesterday, so I grabbed a copy (with a 20% discount coupon they sent me - more membership perks). It looks good so far, but I wish the maps were bigger. The new short story was good, too. Thanks If you have a credit or debit card amazon.co.uk has all the new misty books available within 1-2 weeks. I've had great luck ordering books this way, I just recieved Spirits White As Lightening this week and I've ordered lots of US issue books from them in the past year. Otherwise I'd say look for a store like Forbidden Planet or Kulture Shock that is willing to order books from just about anywhere. Now for Spirits White as Lightening: * * * * * S P O I L E R * * * * * I thought it was fantastic, much better than Beyond World's End. It seemed that the book flowed alot better and the story was fun. I absolutely love that some of my fav characters from the Serrated Edge books make guest appearances. I don't want to say too much but Tannim, Fox and Chinthliss are in it as well as Kayla. Their addition alone would have made me love the book. I also like that there is much more of Beth and Kory in this book. The series started with them and I think they need to be kept in, I think that was one of my major problems with the last book, I didn't mind that Eric was no longer with the other two, but I didn't like how they just disappeared. One thing I do want to know about this book is where it fits in chronologically with the Serrated books, it seemed to be before Chrome Circle because Fox only has 3 tails. well I think that's enough from this lurker :) cherry cola gummy sheep to all, Amy Ferret Friend Lady of All Things Missing, Especially Socks __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It's a fun time over all, isn't it? *grin* Anywho, I wanted to make the general announcement about an update to the Council of Mist. As it currently stands, the Council was a group of people that you could e-mail privately should the need arise for any certain issues or concern. That still holds true, however it is now easier to do so. Thanks to Auntie Mel, the Council has its own separate e-mail address: ml-council-+AT+-lists.herald.co.uk Should you have any questions, you can send an e-mail to this address rather than having to remember a single Council member. It makes it much easier :). It also helps we Council members, as, should one person not be able to receive mail, another can touch base with you in their stead. Again, if you want to talk to a specific person privately, you're completely open to do so. However, if it's in regards to changing addresses, concerns over topics that are being discussed, or even ideas that you have, the new address is the best way to get a response quickly. By the way, for those of you with the new books: :PPPPPPPPPPPPPP *grin* I'll be getting mine after the holiday shopping season is over. Right now, I'm in retail, and as such, have no life outside of work *g*.
