They organise a revolution among discontented elves using iron. *sigh*. Why don't *they* get wiped by indirect attacks? How come they weren't found out the first time somebody tried to use magic on an iron-wearer? Haven't the captive dragons ever seen anything with a thin head/neck? rabbits? babies? snakes? frogs? cats? dogs? mice? insects? ostriches? :-) :-). Overall, a fairly average read - I haven't read the first book, and this is obviously a sequel, but I don't think I missed anything vital - An OK read, but one that doesn't really stand out; more like fast food than a great meal :-). We have only to reach out and touch it, it is a part of the very fabric of the world. When our belief of magic completely dies this universe shall die. Because that magic; Hope, Dreams, Love, Beauty, Wonder, Belief, and Discovery are what make us a people. They are all part of a great Art whose workings are still a mystery but whose applications can be seen every day. If we ever lose the Art mankind shall not last the day. Let the magic that is in us roam free in our work, play, in each other, and most of all in ourselves. Let it roam free or it will die. ============================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Jun 1995 6:09:52 -0600 (MDT) From: RUNDLE-+AT+-wilma.bcasd.az.honeywell.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Cc: RUNDLE-+AT+-wilma.bcasd.az.honeywell.com Subject: Re: Elvenblood (Spoilers) Message-ID: <950622060952.21c1f039-+AT+-wilma.bcasd.az.honeywell.com> >P.S. Has Misty ever colaborated on a Tarma and Kethry story before the one in the new S&S? Opinions welcomed on whaat people think of her Velgarth colaborations (with Larry as well as the new one) versus her solo works in Velgarth? How about on her colaborations as a whole? IMHO the colaborations are good books but what I don't like is that I'm always trying to guess how much is her and how much is the other author.
