It may be things with the subject "subscribe" or "unsubscribe" (or variations on that theme) which are getting rejected, since the software will also bounce messages sent to the lists with those subjects. Try using an unrelated subject like "chocolate cake". :) If that doesn't work, I'll have to have a poke about in the documentation again. What we'd _really_ have loved to do is walk down the aisle to the strains of the throne room march from Star Wars, but I couldn't get the sheet music. A shame, I tried _very_ hard. :) Since you're not the first person who's asked about the composition of the dragon, I'll post the details (it's my list and I shall post offtopic if I please, so there :)) The dragon is a white-metal/pewter (I forget which) model which we bought at Gamesfair (games convention) early in '92. The chap selling the figures had made them himself; I fondly believe that ours is, if not unique, then close to it. It was painted (as a wedding present) by a friend of Graham's. The cake was made by another friend of ours; it is a bit bigger than usual to accommodate the dragon :). She iced a board to put the dragon and miscellaneous "treasure" on, so that it did not sink into the cake (nor, indeed, poison the guests...) then put that on top. It was only on the day that we found that the cake stand wouldn't support the weight of large cake + dragon, hence the strut that you can just about see below the top tier. Naturally we had to have a sword with which to cut the cake. Equally naturally there is a picture of me in dragon-slaying pose, and no, I ain't gonna post that online. :) Cheers Mel. weight of large ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Jul 1995 23:33:11 +0100 From: mel (Melanie Dymond Harper) To: mercedes-lackey Subject: dragon stuff Message-ID: <9507032233.AA07656-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk> Oops, nearly forgot. A "lycanthrope" is a were creature cursed by some sort of divinity for doing something wrong. The were state that appears in Misty's books really is not one at all though many times is referred to as such because it is simpler. It is actually a magical act called "Polymorphication". The difference between the two, is that with lycanthropy there is seldom any knowledge of the half-life the person is living. With polymorphication the person changing retains their memory of who they are when in animal state but run the risk of losing their identity to the animal identity. The risk is increased the longer one stays in the animal state.
