ALMOST ALL OF MY FOLLOWING POSTS (INCLUDING THIS ONE) CONCERN OLD MESSAGES!! (I forgot to send them) One post or another here stimulated a brain cell and made me remember this little hidden thing in that SERRated Edge book about the wacko-physcho-worse-then-KKK-group. The leader of that repulsive group actually 'thinks' in the book, how that his is the one, true way. I guess Misty figured that this group is the exact opposite of everything Valdamaran's (or at least, all but the Holderkin) believe in. Oh how much I wish I could twist the neck of that (thankfully) fictional leader.... ::his mind goes off on dark, dark paths... :: ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 16:31:11 -0400 From: SNESter-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Subject: Re: #1(2) MERCEDES-LACKEY digest 39 Message-ID: <950705163110_25882200-+AT+-aol.com> I've read all but the latest of the Guardian books and can't STAND the card game. I hear that she's putting out a new one soon (anyone heard about that) As to the new covers, Elmore did a MUCH better job the first time round. I have responded to the DGATE thing. I'm hoping the duo will add new life to DragonLance when they come out with the 4th Chronicles in Nov. Strangely enough, I never could get into Stormblade, though I devoured the other two. And I hated Kaz, The Minatour. ::hah, hah! (about being read to you as a little kid) I HATE not having quotes on AOL! (but I'm too lazy to change this so it goes to my Net adress) Someone said that on the UK Elvenblood It mentions Sheyrena. On the US version only Shanna is mentioned. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 16:34:41 -0400 From: SNESter-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: What I Have Learned From Misty Message-ID: <950705163440_25882419-+AT+-aol.com> Strange, my title sounds like what you might find as a no points essay on a 5th-6th grade test... Well, I started Misty in 4th grade and with LHM. My mom got me the whole set for Channuka, though she didn't know the had to do at all with homosexuals... I learned to not judge people by anthing, race ,sex, religion, sexual preference, appearance, etc. Sort of the same thing some others have said. The only difference was that I had only barely been told about same sex pairings, and that with out anyone saying they were evil, unnatural, etc. So I took Misty stuff in stride. It ALSO opened me up to fantasy that had been written recently, and for people who didn't think you were in 2nd Grade! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 16:34:45 -0400 From: SNESter-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: WG, EB similarities- SPOILER Message-ID: <950705163444_25882446-+AT+-aol.com> SPOILER!!!!!! FOR WG & ELVENBLOOD Many people have mentioned how Elvenblood has inconsistencies, cliches, etc. Yet no one said a word (probably since its so obvious) of the fact that we have here a black society, with customs galore and live in the South! Now, what other Misty society does that sound like :) Of course, the Haighleigh don't have anti-magic metal, nor out-dated styles and ideas, but the similarity is there. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 16:34:54 -0400 From: SNESter-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Subject: Re: dragon stuff Message-ID: <950705163452_25882513-+AT+-aol.com> But Pern isn't a Fantasy (technically).
