But to make a novel length about an otherwise ordinary life might be well.... boring. One needs to find an extraordinary situation to make a good story, or at least to hold the attention of a good many people of diverse backgrounds. Tensen P.S. I find this sort of nitty-gritty, low-level technology fascinating. It's created and developed by the artisans and practical people who are overlooked by the 'great and the good' who govern society. Then they find th\aat the society has been revolutionised from under their feet without them noticing. -- Philip Johnson 'Never do for yourself what you can con an expert into doing for you' Naismith: 'On War' 'A rational government wouldn't allow him possession of a pocket-knife, let alone a space fleet.' Kethry and Kero both come in contact with them as mercs My brain is in deep freeze today cause its my day off but aren't there passages concerning the camps lesser mages/herbalists being of more use to the wounded then Keth, something to the effect that all she could do to help was put up a weather barrier to keep the storm out.
