Whis is: READ IT READ IT READ IT! It was Misty's writing with a gothic flair! Although the story smacks of genre romance, the Beauty and the Beast type twist in the plot makes it a great read. Character developement is wonderful of course, filling up the inconsequentially small plot gaps and fleshing out the story in true Misty fashion. If the hero wasn't a mage who had bungled an Old French Werewolf spell and was seeking help from a bluestocking "Orphan Girl", I would place it on the shelf next to Amanda Quick, so "romance-novel" are some of the scenes. But it works up to be a great fantasy read, so in my opinion you should give it a try. If you can't shell out the twenty-two bucks for the hardcover, I'd borrow it from a friend or look for it at the library. I closed the back cover with great satisfaction! IMO, because he spent about 5 times as long as Stefen. Remember, Tylendel was about 16 or 17 when he died, but Stefen was in his 70's, at least, when he died. Therefore 'Stefen' was probably imprinted more strongly on his soul than 'Tylendel'. -jenneke I *am* family. How could I not have family values?
