I feel incredibly stupid. I can't believe how incredibly stupid I am, I never even thought of checking the library. I can't believe how stupid I am!!!!! <-- look, 5! Thank you for correcting the title, slipped my mind. I was pretty close though:) And thank you for reminding me of the most wonderful invention of mankind, the library! I still can't believe I never thought of checking the library...... There's always been people here talking about making our own country. We could do it too, we've got plenty of natural resources, and Hollywood:) Lady Becky I'm your only friend I'm not your only friend But I'm a little glowing friend But really I'm not actually your friend But I am --They Might Be Giants ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Feb 1996 19:59:45 -0500 From: SSCarson-+AT+-aol.com To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Subject: A late intro :) Message-ID: <960217195945_325260696-+AT+-mail06.mail.aol.com> I've been on this mailing list for few weeks now at least, and I'm even part of a group allready(The Ladies in Green). Anyway, it just occured to me that I never made a formal introduction. So here goes. My name is Sarah. I'm 14, and I go to Fay School in Southboro Mass. I live in Hopkinton Mass. I am young, but I have read so many of Misty's books, I can't even count them piled up in my room. Allright, here's my story: When I was younger I never used to read, at all! All my sisters used to read so much and they thought I was realy wierd, even though I had dislexia(I hope thats spelled right). Anyway early last summer I was so sick of being nagged on that I said I'd read one. At the time they were throughing Arrows of the Queen down my throat, so I read it. The first half of the book took about a month to read. The second half took over night. I finished the trilogy within the week, and all of the Valdamar books within a month and a half! After that I was very depressed because I thought those were the only books I would ever find that I liked. Boy was I wrong!!! Misty realy opened me up to my own imagination. I love the way she can just use femails and gay people, and make them heros. I was never able to find any kind of books like that before I found Misty. Anyway, I have 2 very good friends. One of them just came out of the closet. I was fine with it, I was happy for her because for a while befor then I could feel there was something realy wrong bothering her. But my other friend freeked. Apparently she couldn't handle it, and that just made my other friend even more scared of her situation, and herself. While I tried to help her I gave the Last Herald Mage Trilogy to my other friend. I don't know if she read it or not, but I think she did because she came and appoligized for the way she acted. Everythings fine now. I seriously don't know how I would have reacted if I hadn't allready read Vanyal's storys. And likewise I don't know what would of happened to my friend if I was not there to help her get through it(her parents were no help). Oh Well, I guess I owe a lot to Misty. Anyway thats a very eddited vertion of my life. -Sarah Carson -Paul Simmon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Feb 1996 17:44:58 -0800 (PST) From: Becky Anne Christensen To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Subject: Re: A late intro :) Message-ID: On Sun, 18 Feb 1996 SSCarson-+AT+-aol.com wrote: > I've been on this mailing list for few weeks now at least, and I'm even > part of a group allready(The Ladies in Green). Actually, considering how much I've used them to look things up since I joined the list, I guess they are reference books. Anyways, welcome! I had wondered where you came from, and was beginning to think I was going crazy because I didn't remember you. Lady Becky The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. --Dr. Suess ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Feb 1996 17:46:34 -0800 (PST) From: Amy Mason To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-vanyel.herald.co.uk Subject: Re: Religion (no ob Misty) Message-ID: On Sat, 17 Feb 1996, Heather Watson wrote: > Sweetie, how do you figure that the New Testament was discovered > recently? We got it from Mexico. But as far as I know, it was never it's own country.
