Before that, I'd seen AotQ, etc in Wal-mart, but the pink covers and the nearness to the romance section put me off. BIG CHANGE after reading S&S3. I've read nearly everything I could lay my hands from Valdemar series, to Mage Wars (my mother has the SIlver Gryphon and is waiting until my birthday, April 1, to give it to me. CRUEL!!!!) Sword of knowledge, co-authored works with Andre Norton (excellent! even if you don't like Norton, go get them pronto!), Marion Zimmer Bradley (i heartily recommend Mists of Avalon), Anne McCaffery (another tear-jerker with a triumphant ending) and Larry, Ellen, etc. Anyway, I'm living in Holland at the moment (due to change in June -> back to Houston!!)
