I have made up my mind how I am going to make the keychains. I'm going to be using cord instead of suede for a couple of reasons; one I wasn't able to find the thickness of suede I wanted to use and two I think that the cord is going to hold up a little better then the suede. I will be braiding white, silver, and black cord together and hanging beads and feathers off of the cord. It will not be too large or gaudy, when I make things I prefer them to be simple. I'm going to use everyone's favorite color for the feathers and beads. I hope that makes sense, but if not too bad. I want to do as little thinking as possible, I'm on vaction. One more thing, in order to make things a little easier, Chen-Chen is going to be making and mailing out the ones for the people in Australia and Asia. If anyone who wants a keychain in those areas would please private e-mail Chen-Chen at chenchen-+AT+-rgs.edu.sg with your address and color preference. Everyone else if you will please private e-mail me at mishi-+AT+-prolog.net (Even if you did already, please do so again, the paper with all the information on it got up and walked away -- All right, whoever fetched it away can just give it back now) with your addresses and color preference. It will make things a little easier to handle when everything is finished to mail them out if we already have them sorted at least a little. Chen-Chen will let everyone her area how she wants to handle sending the keychains out and I will get back to eveyone else on how I will mail them out. About the death thing - whenever I die I want it to be quick, I hate putzing around. Here's a weird way of dying for ya - go on a looping roller coaster and have someone fall out at the top of the loop and then land on top of you and crush you or else just have the whole car go flying off the track into outer space. I was just at a amusement park (third time in two weeks) so I'm kind of thinking death by overfun here. Ohh, I know you could die by swallowing a bug while screaming your head off on a roller coaster, my friend choked on one. okay that enough about death. Bad karma and all, ya know. With the Trap (yes, it is the one you thought of), I like the lyrics, but I don't care for the tune/music. That song just made me think of something. I tried to start reading _The Last Unicorn_ this week. I got to the point where Shmendrick and the unicorn are in the forest with the wanna-be merry men. I couldn't take it anymore! I had to switch to misty (The Ship Who Searched, in fact). I remember loving the movie, but does the book get better later on? Well, of the Velgarth ones, I'd definitely say Shadow Stalker. Of the non-Velgarth ones, I'd says either Freedom, Flight, and Fantasy or Magic, Moondust, and Melancholy. I can't decide which I like better, SS or FFF. Both have Heather "I make calculus texbooks sound great" Alexander as the sole (well, mostly) vocalist. FFF has more good songs in proportion to bad songs, but the good songs on SS are better than the good ones on FFF. More than that, I'd recommend Heather Alexander's (hey, how about using HA to mean her?) solo album, _Wanderlust_. For some reason, Firebird says the CD is now out of print (but not the tape). Does anyone know why Seafire (HA's publishing co.) did this? Mat Cat Person, Adept, and |"Each man builds his own garden, by what God of Procrastination | his heart says is true. I thought I remember reading either in some foreword somewhere or in one of the QO newsletters that her kids were going to be mentioned in the book. Someone tell me if I'm hallucinating again? The only book I've had a problem with that has been Burning Water. When I got the first copy of it, the binding fell off within a week, and sections of the pages started breaking away. I got a new one when I started loosing pages of the first one. The 2nd one didnt last any longer, actually I think it fell appart faster. I keep it intact with a large rubber-band. I dont think there are any chunks of pages that are more than 20 pages left, and I've had it for less than a year. Whatever glue they used for Burning Water was just *bad*. I thought Judith only had one child, a son. (Can't recall his name for sure off the top of my head. The name Mike keeps coming to mind for some reason...) I can ask her though the next time I talk to her if it's something you're really curious about. Dass again: >Whatever glue they used for Burning Water was just *bad*. Burning Water does seem to be one of the worst culprits for CFOS, doesn't it? My first copy of BW actually made it through 1 reading intact (SpiritBlade read it first), then fell off as I started to read it. I accidentally glued the cover back on cockeyed, so I bought another copy, and that cover literally started to fall off almost as soon as I started reading it, within a couple chapters at most! I gave up on a good copy of BW at that point. Kristin wrote: >A bookseller once told me to try *ironing* the spine. Apparently >the glue falls apart because it wasn't heated enough. I've never heard that one, but I'll give (almost) anything a shot once. With a TOR book, it certainly isn't going to hurt since the thing is likely to fall apart anyway. Whoever posted TOR's e-mail address with the suggestion we write them and complain, could you please repost the address when you have the time? I wanted to write them , but when I looked for the message, I couldn't find it! It's either lost in one of our numerous files, or my computer ate it for lunch! (I wonder sometimes...)
