The MOC is immortal? Really? Do you have textevd for this? If what you say is
true, that the MOC is immortal than it can't be reincarnated 'cause it can't
die. If the MOC was immortal Talia would have Taver (the one Shavri had - the
MO for Randale) 'cause *if* he was immortal than he wouldn't have died and
that would be who Talia had. Plus I have textevd. Page 11 of Arrow's Fall

Milady, I do not want to forgive you for hugging people! You were right,

My fav. scene? Probably when the friend of Shion's asked to join Firesong and

Well, I am reading Elvenbane now, very interesting story but the first few
chapters were a little long-winded. They were on Shara's mum's memories and
the dragon's memories. Bit long since the story was about Shara! It was only
in 3rd chapter did the dragon find the mother dying and going into childbirth!

	In one of the books (I don't know which one, and I can';t look it 
up, because they are in a box) the one where Hydona is training mages on 
a gardening tower, and Sayvel is at the bottom. I think Gwena says 
something along the lines of

         What I meant was that if somebody was in pain, like with a tube down
their throat, and can't breath one their own, etc. etc. etc. then suicide or
pulling the plug would be mercy killing, and I guess that would be OK in some
situations, but jumping off a building because your girlfriend or boyfriend
is just plain stuipd.

But I'm very glad that my subject about Van vs Lendel has hit it off so 
well. Unfortunately I haven't been keeping a tally, so I don't know who's 
the more popular... but I am very distressed about Tylendels evilness. 
Especially the talk about his summoning the Wyrsa. Now I'm totally 
confused and unbalanced, and I really want to believe that Tylendel was 
the angel I always imagined him to be. :( But it seems the evidence is 
pointing away from it... sigh, oh well, There's still Kris. Yes, I've had 
a lust for Kris all along, although he's not shaych... sigh...

        As I understood it, demons are creatures from another plane of
existance...  I believe it was the Abyss?  Texevd anyone?  I know it comes
from Oathbound, when they are discussing Thalkarsh and the Mage Schools
(IIRC White Winds deals with all the planes except the Abyss, and always
uses debts rather than intimidation to control planar creatures...)

<giggle> You obviously don't know how my brother and I play Monopoly (or
any other board game for that matter) .... we lose the pieces (because we
never put things away properly...), find the pieces from some other board
game, and butcher the original game, rather than putting the parts int
their proper places. We make up *insane* rules to compensate. At the time,
the last four sided die I'd seen was in the Monopoly box. <laugh>
Although... most of the time, for any complex game, the spur-of-the-moment
rules don't work all that well, and we have to make up more rules to
compensate for the "special" situations *gryn*...

Okay, Misty time: are there any drugs in Velgarth (besides alcohol)? I
couldn't find any mention, but I was sort of lazy 'bout looking. For one
reason or another, it seems that most societies have found drugs, or
intoxicants (Yes, Cen, I know that's not a word *gryn* Neither is
'suicided' :P) Some have used hallucinogens or uppers or uh.. well, *some*
drug for priestly visions, some have used it to relax, but the notion that
Velgarth doesn't have any kind of plant that would produce that kind of
effect is a little odd.

And, oh, speaking of inconsistancies, Larry thought that whatever had been
watching Deke had been waiting for Deke's mother to get out of town, but
Fay hadn't had any idea of Deke's power; just a vague idea that he had
_something_. She certainly didn't know that his parents were hi-psi, so how
could she have known to get the mother with the combative magic out of
town? (unless she thought that "mother's instinct" and had noted that Miri
had "radar vision" (textevd p9) -- but if she thought that, she would have
thought to check if his parents had any powers, wouldn't she have, Fay
being as paranoid as she was?)

Eeee, and just an off-topic question question for whoever may be from
Oklahoma out there... you don't really mash your potato salads, do you?

        I go to a vocational school, so I had to take two years + of a
foreign laguage...  I've taken Latin and Spanish, and I've also managed to
memorize all the Tale'edras and Shin'a'in as well as Westron Runic, Ogham,

	Oh dear. I don't know. I think yes, because he's not doing it for 
himself, he's doing it to save other people. He recognizes that he will 
kill, and wants to prevent that. But then again, he shouldn't have to. 
Maybe therapy would help him (at least in my dream world it would)
I wasn't saying any suicide is wrong, I'm just saying that killing yourself 
because you can't deal with the world isn't noble or honorable in 
response to Cennyd's post. I don't know if it is wrong or not. It 
certainly is not evil.

	Okay, I don't know if this is a Velgarth thing, or from somewhere 
else. But I keep thinking tran dust when I read this. Now, what the heck 
is tran dust, and where is it from??? I don't remember if it's aMisty 
thing! It's not that stuff from Dune is it? No, that was Spice, I think. 
Anyways, there was also argonel, but that was a medicine, huh. I can't 
think of anything else. 
Where is tran dust from? Someone tell me before I go crazy!

Hi again from your virtual friendly neighborhood Summersong and Spiffy the
Cat. I caught something that appeared in OBound/OBreakers. It was mentioned
in OBreakers that one of Tarma's scouts in Idra's Sunhawks rode a
"Shin'a'in gelding." IIRC, Shin'a'in colts were rare, they were never
gelded, and they never left the plains. Is that a glitch in the book or did
I miss something?

I remember Van saying later if he'd only loved 'Lendel more, he wouldn't
have suicided. I think Van actually loved him enough, but didn't direct his
love in an "ideal" manner. I don't know if that could have helped, but even
if Van could have somehow kept 'Lendel from killing himself, he would have
lost his mind. Then, Van would be in no condition to become a Herald,
because his lifebonded's condition echoes in him. Anyone else?

Actually, it's like going to a Star Trek movie and spending half the time
with the Romulan/Borg alliance (BTW, isn't that the focus of the next film,
or was it the book "The Return"?). Anywho, have any of you read The Ashes
of Eden by William Shatner? It's a Trek book, but it is excellent. Imzadi
by Peter David and The Devil's Heart (forgot the author) are also VERY

It was Mourndealth. That was where T&K defeated Wethes Goldmarchant(?) and
Kavin. Throne City is the capital, and Lythecare, I think, is where Elspeth

ritual suicide that is honorable in a Klingon society. Remember the episode
of DS9 where Worf had to help Kurn kill himself because he had "no family

Dr.Kevorkian's. I dunno.

That was great. And to all you folks who haven't read The Silver (or was it
White) Gryphon, this scene sort of continues when they're older. There's
this one part when Winterhart, Skan, Drake, and Aubri are gathered for
something (I need to reread this...) and Winterhart says something like
they used to call Aubri "fried chicken" when he used to come in charred.

In STORM BREAKING Misty does try to clear up this problem with Need.  She
points out that Need practiced an older form of magic--something that was
old even to Urtho and Maar--and so the equivalent to Adept is not exact.
Misty also describes Need as ALMOST an Adept in "modern" terms.
