If she had put her friendship ring on the right hand then >she shouldn't have had to move it, right? Is this a blooper? Did I actually >find a Misty Mistake? Wow, it just might be. (oh goody, another one! *hug*) Or maybe it's just that Talia moved it. Possible that she didn't put it on her right hand in the first place, since AFlight just says "she slipped it on" Possible (not likely, but possible) that when the arrow went through her shoulder, that either she or Kris moved it, since any weight on a burning shoulder feels like nine hells' worth of agony. I think what probably happened is that when the Healers were looking at her shoulder, they fiddled with her entire arm and someone-- a Healer or assistant -- moved it, and Talia didn't have the energy to move it back. Or didn't want to. =) But your guess is as good as mine, milady. ////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\ KORY!!!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!!! *RunrunrurnrurnrunPOUNCE* Welcome back! *gryn* (can anyone tell that I was *not* one of the people who was supposed to do a book for the pointy-eared lad with the French accent?) Lesse, in the past few weeks, we've had a religious and centrist flame war which took up quite a *lot* of time, and we've talked. Lately about (in addition to the topic above this line and drugs eg argonel, tran dust, and glamorie. And Need being an Adept even though she said to Elspeth that she could only draw on shallow liley lines and pools of energy in life and fantasy languages IRL. Cen says Tayledrasand Shin'a'in don't bear up to any linguistic analysis, btw =) Oh well.) un/conditional love; comic books; other books; the Monarch's Own Companion/ why he can't be female/why he can/ is he the same spirit all the time; Vanyel being nice vs being a stick in the mud; suicide and its ethics; pronuinciations of names such as Talia and Gwena and Savil vs Saybil, Cymry, etc; Firesong being a brat vs. not; 'Lendel vs. Stef in likeability; formed a group called the Ladies of the Pink Wand, straight ladies who go for gay men, and so we discuss who is gay and who is bi and who is legal enough to be drooled over. Current notable object of desire: Cenny. Uncle Gaelic now does stripteases that are IMHO somehow hilariously funny (although this is probably because I have the oddest sense of humour of anyone you'll ever meet. The other Pink Wand Ladies seem to love it.) ... Also discussed the movies Dragonheart and The Birdcage. Lots of new people joined. Storm Breaking (a prelim inary copy) is now in Danya's hands, a lucky duckie new lady. *gryn* AOL crashed for a day and so did Jake's mail server and mine. Heather rejoined, Jake lurked for the sake of his upcoming book, rejoined with a bang by creating a game of _Valdenopoly_, ie _The Mercedes Lackey Mailing List Boardgame_ Shadow Lover resurfaced, Lady Thess hurt her wrist because of tendonitis and so she's not named anyone recently but Meganm, who is the Goddess of Wind and Waves, although she got Mishi [Goddess of Hyperness and Overbubbliness] me [Goddess of Many Names] Lady Sophia ie Lynn Markova [Goddess of Music and Song, I think] Windshadow [Goddess of Arts] and probably some others that I missed. And Gyrflacon miraculously cut his .sig down. I think that's it... er, was, ah, this supposed to be terse? *gryn* ////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\ So on that note... GO HEATHER! What an incredible job defending Vanyel! *huge gryn* Oh, and speaking of Orson Scott Card.. can anyone tell me how _Xenocide_ and _Speaker for the Dead_ went? (by the way to the person who liek d Valentine, I thought she was great, but that he didn't draw her as well as he could have. SOmehow, I thought his portrayal of Peter was the best example of familiarizing characters, although of course Ender's personality is discovered as we go.) Because I went out and bought them today... along with _Fifth Quarter_ and _No Quarter_ (Tanya Huff) and _the Legend of Nightfall_ (Mickey Zucker Reichert) ////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\ Lady 'Reesa wrote: >ObMisty: Was Foxtrot X-ray in the first Serrated Edge book? And Windshadow wrote, in response to the same passage: >Oh Kimber! That's so sad, and so well put! Why can't I do that? I'm sure you can, milady; certain. *hug* Everyone can write, I think... *gryn* And don't forget to add an appendage to that "Kimber" bit or Kimberley will start to bite. *giggle* >I agree. There's always that little bit of you that goes, "Maybe he wasn't so >bad, " and forgives him, though the rest of you says, "Give him up!". *gryn* Hmmmm... the phrasing isn't supposed to show a personality that's either male or female... Oy. Glitches in programs. =) However; thank you so much to you both! *HUG* {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} *HUGHUGHUGHUG* Nicest compliments... I thought that I was going to get bashed for this one, but I guess not! Oh goodygoody gelatin-free gumdrops! *gryn* ////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\ ObMisty: Isn't it odd that the servant girls can be raped by Joserlin Corby's crew (p 116 AFall) and in the same city as the centre of Heralds, and no one raises a brow? If this is so, is it possible to consult the souls encased in those globes of light? Otherwise why would they entrap themselves like that instead of going on to the Light? I would think that it is similar to Ma'ar's method of staying alive, only less sinister... Instead of taking over another's body they encase themselves in a globe of power and watch over their people, lending their knowledge to those who need it... Also, should the Kyree have to leave their caves, are the globes portable? *gryn* I can hear the modern day sales pitch now: Yes, you to can live forever, with SOULGLOBE! Simply choose your color...
