Well, here's a list of authors I like: (looking quickly at my shelves) Misty (obviously) Steven Brust Don Callander (his 'Mancer series is a lot of fun, but his new Dragon one bores me) Tanya Huff Guy Gavriel Kay Patricia Kennealy-Morrison Holly Lisle Robin McKinnley Stephen R. Anne McCaffrey Robert Jordan Katherine Kerr Melanie Rawn There you gp. :) Mat the Cat in Green (at this new spiffy addy until February) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Dec 1996 12:35:56 -0800 (PST) From: Lynne Markova To: mercedes-lackey-+AT+-herald.co.uk Subject: Chris's Dad Message-ID: Chris, you and your father are both in my prayers. Just remember that he will always be with you even though you can't see or hear him. He'll be in your heart and memories, try to remember the good times you had with him and cherish those moments. I sorta know how you feel, I didn't want to bring this up during the holiday season, but I had just lost my sister (I was VERY close to her) a couple months ago to an infection she got after surgery for cancer. It still hurts to think of her but I know she will always be with me and when I need to speak with her I know she'll hear me, even though I can't hear her. And I cherish those good memories I have of her and keep them close to my heart. I know she wouldn't want me to dwell on "what could have been" or "what I could have done" and would want me to just continue with my life, you're dad would think the same thing. It'll be hard at first but time will heal the hurt. We are here for you and will be there to support you in your time of rage and sorrow. <> It'll be okay Chris. I know it all sounds "cliche", but ya know, it's all true, hon. Yeah she was in a lot of his musicals but I think the whole fact that she made the best Christine ever was because ALW had her voice in mind when he wrote the part. I like Dale Kirstian (sp?)(at the Ahmansen in LA) too but she didn't justify the role of Christine. Brightman is definately the ONLY one who can perfectly play that role. I pray for you and your Dad, and hope you will be able to come to terms with it all. As other listsibs have said, we are here for you. I have a psychic friend who says that at death only the physical link is severed. That teh spiritual and energetic link remains intact and that if we look within us, we will find this to be so. In my case re Abueli I have found this to be true, although I sorely miss her physical presence. I want to hug her, and buy things for her, and take her for a walk, and it really hurts not being able to. But I am beginning to remember without tears making me helpless and I believe God willing you will too, in time. Once more, we are here for you. Feel free to email me privately if you wish (infodyn-+AT+-distrinet.com.uy).
