Hmmm. Well, that could have been 'Lendel couldn't it? How many years between Vanyel and Talia? I forget. But if it is two hundred, it would seem likely that the repudiation that Teren mentions might have been 'Lendel. How right you are, my 8 year old daughter asked me recently "What does gay mean?" So I told her (I always tell her the truth whenever she asks me!!!!!) She looked at me for a moment and said, "and they are happy too?". I of course answered yes. So not everyone has forgotten the real meaning of the word gay, I use it in it's correct sense all the time. Unfortunately for me she asked me this morning "What is an orgasm?" Somewhere in Storm Warning I remember Ulrich (Karal's mentor right?) saying something to the efect of there had not been Firecats around for along time, until Hansa showed his face and bonded with Solaris. Hansa if i remember corectly was also a formar Son of the Sun. However Karal couldn't remember there ever being an Altra. One question thought would be where do they comefrom? --- Not true about Altra. In he first Storms book (I don't have a page number because I don't want to dig through a pile of books for it...) Karal thinks "Altra, isn't that the Son of the Son who..." And promptly goes to sleep without finishing the thought. I have always found that to be annoying! So that couldn't have been Lendel. That also just states that he was turned to evil that doesn't really mean he was the only one repudiated. There can be other reasons for repudiation as well.
