regarding my statement about having things shoved down my throat;
I will elaborate.  I don't feel that I have to announce to the world that I
am not gay, why do gays feel that they have to be so aggressively gay?  I
don't personally believe in your lifestyle, but I will defend to the death
your right to live it.  You make yourselves different when you demand to be
treated differently.  I will grant that I have never been in a gay
situation, and therefore have not "walked in your shoes", but I believe
this, " all men are not created equal.  Some are smarter, taller, better
looking, more creative etc...... However I believe that all men should be
given equal opportunity, and treated fairly. (I use men as in mankind)"
   Everything an adult does is a lesson to children around them, as in
"what you do speaks so loudly that I can't hear what you say."  Yes
everyone has a right to their  own opinion, and that is one of the things
that helped make this country great, and keeps it so.  The USA was founded
by rebels, those who would not or could not accept the status quo, who
hoped to make a better world for their children.  My children were taught
to believe that no one was better than them, however they were not better
than anyone else.  But without a strong moral and ethical belief, you just
sink into the mud with everyone else, and wingsibs, you cannot play in mud
without getting dirty.
  As someone else said, sorry about the soapbox, I will get off now.

Randi died of a disease that had been making him fade away for years.
Shavri had tied her life in with Randis after she found out she couldn't
cure the disease.  She wouldn't survive even a candlemark after Randi was
killed.

I was wondering about the same thing myself.  From the description Misty gave
of the disease though, I think that maybe it was some kind of cancer.

        It did sound like cancer to me as well.  The thing is though, he was
also rendered sterile, and neither the illness nor the sterility seemed
natural.  I always suspected a spell of some sort.  From Leareth, perhaps?
After all, they weren't looking for him then....

I suspected something of that nature as well, since the intentions of Leareth
could have easily included the death of the king....he killed all of the
Herald-Mages, so I consider that idea very plausible.  However, now that I
think of it.....it was totally unlike the rest of the deaths.......so, ya'
never know.

I just described Randi's disease to my mother and she suggested that it might be 
Graves(sp?)disease.  She dosn't know about wether or not it causes pain but it 
is a Thyroid problem that causes weight loss.  She also does not know if it 
kills the victim or not.  Just a suggestion.
