I can't seem to reconcile the Bermuda thingy with Storm Breaking, when Florian's spirit is talking about the choices they all made (page 431). He talks about 'fandes, Stef and Van not being there because of their having had to leave in sort of a hurry: "Never mind" he (Florian) said. "Basically they've made decisions about their *destinations*, and they didn't have a lot of time to make sure they were properly placed, so they've already gone on. I can't tell you what they decided, but it's going to be fine. As for me", he continued with a wink, "I've made mine too, but I wasn't so picky. It should be obvious if you think about it but don't tell any heralds, right?" Karal then comments about meeting Florian as a herald in some years, etc. etc. The emphasis on the word destinations is mine to emphasise the fact that it is plural. What I wonder is: why the hurry if the Van, Stef and 'fandes were going to Bermuda? Were they concerned about not getting rooms in the Bermuda Sheraton? Florian speaks specifically about placement... I always took the above paragraph to imply that they were coming back yet again and they were in a hurry because of reincarnation logistics. What do the rest of you all think ? Beyond that, when the Guardians were dissapearing, there may be a very short amount of time to decide which way to go. Frankly, I think that Misty has done just about all she can (or wants to) do with Van/Stef/Yfandes. I agree to a point. The latest books start much stronger and Misty's fluidity and character personalities are much better than in the original books, but she seems to start off like gang-busters (Winds and Storms as my c.i.p.), and builds to a kind of forced ending. For instance, Storm Breaking does a lot of character development that I think is much better suited to earlier in a series.
