Jonne? in Sword of Ice (it's waiting for me at the library & I want to avoid that one)? 3.Does a Master's hair turn white too, or just an Adept's? Is Sword of Ice only out in hardcover??? I have yet to find it anywhere up here in Maine, and it's getting most frustrating. Oh, one more, while I'm at it- anyone know where I might be able to get a copy (even a raggedy one) of Sword and Sorceress III? I would really like to read about Tarma and Kethry meeting! Must be a dilly! Oh my goodness, I just thought of something else that's been nagging at me... Is there a set pattern for the Heraldic whites? I know in the books that the Whites changed from Vanyel's to Elspeth's time, but I was just curious whether there was a design out there somewhere. thanks for any help in advance! I've always had terrific luck finding Misty's stuff at B&N in particular... I went in there one time and they had EVERY SINGLE VELGARTH NOVEL... totally floored me. Of course when I went back they only had half of that... but oh well. You might also try amazon.com... they've got (or can get) just about any book you could ever want. On another note... was the LHM series ever released in hardback or is that another (*sigh*) series of Misty's that only ended up in paperback? OK welll I just from my questions you'll guess I'm a newbie. I've read LHM, AofQ, Vows and Honors, by the Sword, Winds and just finished the first storms. By the way on the subject of re reading... how can anybody not want to re read hier favorite books at least once. I haven't even finished the stroms and gryphons yet and I can't wait to re read AofQ and LHM. Also does anyone know whether or not the Bardic Voices series is in Velgarth? I guess if I didn't say I'm a rookie it would be kind of obviuos because of all the questions I'm asking, but how can I learn if I don' t ask. I'm not one to remain silent and stupid. OK here comes another question. I heard something about Misty writing a new Velgarth novel, owl something. Does anyone know anything about that? Oh yeah and since i just got on, what is that Misty Awards Preliminary thing, how do I vote and what do I vote for? Oh yeah and on the subject of pronunciation, I keep arguing to my friends that Rolan is pronounced Ro- lawn (as in a patch of grass), but they insist it's pronouced rollin'. Can anyone clear thet up? well I've exhausted myself of relatively un-repetitive for the time being, so good night all (or good day all deoending on what time you generally choose to read your mail) Wind to thy wings, Heidi raven245.juno.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 Jul 1997 18:47:13 +0800 From: "Angie" To: Subject: Re: Questions From a Misty Beginner/SOI Message-ID: <199707311047.SAA26531-+AT+-larkspur.singnet.com.sg> Heidi wrote: : Also does anyone know whether or not the Bardic Voices series is in : Velgarth? AFAIK, Bardic Voices (the one with the Free Bards?) is _not_ set in Velgarth. I'd name the towns that they mentioned, but I don't feel like getting up to take the book (omnibus, in another room, me just home from a Physical Fitness Test...). I : heard something about Misty writing a new Velgarth novel, owl something. : Does anyone know anything about that? You're talking of OwlFlight... I think Bill has the review on it on his homepage... : Oh yeah and since i just got on, what is that Misty Awards Preliminary : thing, how do I vote and what do I vote for? The Misty Awards is something I set up. Um, the Preliminaries are about to be over in a few hours, so I'll just post the final (wow! Pre to Final! ) list up day after tomorrow (It is now 6:24pm, 31st of July) Rolan is pronounced : Ro- lawn (as in a patch of grass), but they insist it's pronouced : rollin'. We each have our own way of pronouncing stuff, Me and me pals pronounce "Rolan" as ro-LEN. Wierd, huh? Oh BTW, we pronounce "Tayledras" as TAY-lee-drahs here. ("ah" as in aahhhh! :)) I'll send you the post with the categories for the Misty Awards. If you should wish to vote, the Deadline is 1st of August, 12 midnight!!!!! :P Someone asked about the title of the story about Van and Jonne... You know, I didn't find the story all that bad! Except that Jonne was supposed to be with Van for ,what, 3 months? And that Van was made out to seem like a sexual pervert... Um, is the title "Choices"? I think so, but I could be wrong. Whatever it is, just don't skip any stories, Though I don't see the point of the story "Song of Valdemar" (or something like that). You know, the one with a child with the wierd song-making instrument?
