Heyla listsibs,

                      It occured to me that there should be a movie 
based on one of Misty's books. I think that it would be really cool to 
see Tarma and Kethry on the big screen. Elspeth and Darkwind would be 
cool too. Of course there are the little details. Like who would you 
choose to direct the movie. Personally, I like Lucas. I've been a big 
fan of Indiana Jones, and Starwars. As I haven't read any of Misty's 
books outside Valdemar someone else might have a better idea using her 
sci fi books instead. 

                       If we were going to turn--say Oathbound-- into a 
movie who would be in the leading rolls? Julia Roberts might make a good 
Kethry she has a lot of attitude that Keth has always had. Filling 
Tarma's shoes would be a lot harder. What actress could look absolutely 
sexless? While I don't like her as an actress Demi Moore seemed to do a 
good job in the movie G.I. Jane. I haven't seen the movie itself but the 
advertisments have her head shaved with her body skinny and with little 
definition of sex. I just wish she was a better actress.--heavy sigh--. 
Now we come to choosing a voice over for Warrl. My first choice would be 
Sean Connery--but he really doesn't fit the kyree's 
personality.--another heavy sigh-- What about John Travoltia-sorry if I 
misspelled--. He is a pretty good actor. He has a good voice and 
personality. I'll throw out Tom Cruise as a possibility, and maybe 
Nicholus Cage. 

Any other ideas?

Ebony Blade brought up the movie list topic.  Uh oh.  <smile> This is a 
topic that keeps coming back.  Perhaps before we start on it again 
someone should dig up the old renditions of that list we've come up with 
so they can be added onto.

I believe Jaguar has at least one version off her page.

Lets see I recall a muppets version, and anime proposed version, and 
several other versions.  Though I may be befuddled as usual.

I found them in the short stories out of S&S that would be the best
place to start. then in the winds of fury misty talks about them when
an'desha is being taught by dawnfire.

Hi all
I think Kethry asked a question regaurding continuing Misty's series.  
Well I hate to be blunt but I don't think it will happen.  I mean there 
is nothing wrong with you writing in private for your own enjoyment but 
I am afraid that Anything else ( such as putting it on wed sight mailing 
to the list or trying to publish) would be violating Misty's copyrights 
which she is very strict about.

On another subject, does anyone know if there is a mercedes lackey room 
on ircle chat?  If so what is it's name?

You are referring to the "Scroll sworn"  they are mostly mentioned in the 
final Mage storms book.  They are also mentioned in WoF, when Tre'valen 
went to the "webs of time" in Kata'shinin sp?  Hope this helps

Well... I can now understand why people are getting upset at not being
unsubscribed.  I have thus far sent five requests to be taken off to
listproc-+AT+-herald.co.uk, and not gotten one reply YET from listproc.  NO WONDER
people are responding the way they were.

Apparently since my opinions manage to offend so many people, I want off this
stupid list.  Now would SOMEONE please do it?  I've FOLLOWED the right
procedures and still am on it, and I'd REALLY like something done about this.

To Fill Tarma's shoes I would say you would have to find some dark
skinned person who is not famous.  She would'nt have to be toooo good of

Originally, the Wyrsa were created by a mage several centuries before
Urtho's time.  They were about the size of a large dog, white, with
poison teeth and claws.  The MageStorms mutated them into the creatures
from The Silver Gryphon, when they lost the poison and grew to the size
of a horse and gained the magic absorbing abitlites.  But that was only

Somebody please find the archive number... This, I gotta see!

On Henderson's non-muppet show (Storytime?  Storyteller?  Something like
that...) There was one story about a gryphon... I understand the gryphon
stated (in pretty broken Engilsh, I might add...) "Am not monster!  Am
mis--under--stood BIRD!"  I belive Urtho would've sent him to Amberdrake
in about 2 seconds flat..

And if they did make that movie, I think Henson would be, as K'Kai put
it, spinning in his grave like a navigational gyro.  Muppets and bloody
wars don't exactly go together.  (Like, say, getting 6 Makaar to smash

Black Gryphon would make an awesome movie!
I think with the CGI nowadays, it would be simple to make the gryphons. 
They did it in Dragonheart...  One problem is a lot of Misty's books are
thinking and back-story.  How do you convey historical info in a movie? 
Besides the old Star Wars scrolling words...  Anyway, you would need the
computer gryphics ( :> ) for magic.  Who would you say should voice Skan?

Sci-Fi book? Hmm..._Wing Commander: Freedom Flight_.  One main character
is an avian alien named K'Kai.  She's a Firekkan, which is actually
basically the same as a tervardi.  (Does anyone know, is the guy on the
cover of _The Eagle and the Robin_ a tervardi??)  Firekkans were in Wing
Commander, BTW, they didn't steal that from Misty. :>

a race of almost totally bird-beings, they cannot change into anything 
else.  I do not believe that the Bardic novels are based in Velgarth ( the

 Ok, to start off. Fire Rose is in paperback in the USA. I don't know 
about other countries, but my library has it, and they are  the last to 
get any book.( I had to wait a year for the last of the Bard series, not 
Bardic Vocies, the ones with the Bardic Elf)

 Can someone send me the letter Misty wrote about saying she would not 
write and more Di Tregarde. I have lost the website page number, and 
could never find arckives in the first place.

 On one list I was on 4 a while, they had fun wars. The diffrent groups 
would have little battles with one another. That would be fun. Divide up 
into little groups(like bondbirds vs nonbondbirds) and have a little 
mock battle. I have seen a thing like that before. It seemed like fun.

 Sulena and Zamy have had chicks. Their father is Sherella, the great 
golden bolt from the sky. He is a Golden Eagle. The chicks are a Golden 
Eagle and Red-Wing Hawk mix and a Golden Eagle and White-Eye Crow mix. 
If you want, you may ask for the first mix breed of Bondbirds(I fell 
kind of like Firesong, creating a whole new species of bondbird ;)

I do know that on Genie, you can write fanfic to your hearts content. 
 There are a few restrictions placed by Misty, but they are just a

Actually, IMHO, that was just the Herald for Queen's Own, right? He
(Rolan) had a Heral before Talia, and if she dies before him, will have
another after her.  That was my scope on the thing.

I must say that I think I am getting everyone else's mail.  I am getting
